BJP's Harsh Vardhan Will Make a Decisive Edge in the Poll Outcome

The triangle of Delhi's CM candidates has been completed with the official announcement of by BJP party's parliamentary board on Wednesday in Harsh Vardhan's favour in a meeting at 11am at party's Asoka Road head office in New Delhi,  turning down strong claims made by Delhi BJP chief Vijay Goel.

As incumbent chief minister Sheila Dikshit is the face of the Congress party in Delhi, the Aam Aadmi Party too has projected Arvind Kejriwal as its leader and Harsh  Vardhan selection as BJP's candidate will complete the missing leg of the triangle.

Harsh  Vardhan is a practising ENT specialist and has earned the reputation of being an effective health administrator in the previous BJP rule and also enjoys the support of Rashtriya Swayam Sewak Sangh - BJP's parent body - as well as most senior leaders including former president Nitin Gadkari, leader of the opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj and her counterpart in Rajya Sabha, Arun Jaitley.

Internally many BJP leaders believed that, without a credible name leading the party in the elections, the BJP was losing the edge, while  Goel will continue to be the state party chief but may not contest the assembly elections. “He will be party’s candidate in the Lok Sabha elections in 2014, that fits him better, the leaders felt.

A BJP strategist said that the four-time MLA, Harsh Vardhan enjoys the support of almost every leader in the party now, said another , who added that the party's parent body.

The BJP official said Goel could continue to be the state party chief but may not contest the assembly elections and added, “He will be party’s candidate in the Lok Sabha elections in 2014. He has agreed to it,".

INDIA HONEST  assumes : the fight in Delhi should now be tough, with the incumbent chief minister Sheila Dikshit, seen losing ground fast in the pre poll survey and the Aap candidate though bullish with Anna's past association's fame, but a credible leader in BJP's Harsh Vardhan will make a decisive edge in the poll outcome...........if wise voters prefers not to see hung assembly as predicted in the poll surveys.
