Digvijaya Singh had flagged the issue on social networking site Twitter by tweeting, "Surprised with the turn around of Chandra Babu Naidu and Jagan Mohan Reddy. Both had given support to Telangana in writing.
Dig sir called this as, "Amazing Political Opportunism!" in his statement. He appealed to people of Seemandhra to give up their agitation so that a "healthy dialogue process can move forward and a solution that will benefit both sides would be arrived at."
INDIA HONEST agrees 100% with Dig sir:
Is not this ""Amazing Political Opportunism!" by Congress"" ? Yes it is .
The decision of formation of Telangana was agreed in 2008 by TDP a nd others and on that promise Congress got overwhelming support in 2009 election in Andhra Pradesh. But you avoided to work on that for next five years, and now wants to cash on Telangana people's sentiments in the 2014 election.
Congress Dig sir have also changed the agreed conditions, that resulted in discrimination to the people of Seemandhra. Congress is anticipating that as it will be rejected in the next election in any case, so the party wants to gain by winning at least the Telangana part. Dig sir very well know that their plan of action is biased, so there is such a huge opposition by other political parties including your own party members.
Congress general secretary Digvijaya Singh released letters written by TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu to the Home Minister last year, and then External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee, in 2008, supporting the formation of Telangana state.
TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu accepts that he had written his letter on October 18, 2008, "The politburo of TDP has discussed thoroughly on the conclusions arrived at by the core committee and agreed with its recommendations in favour of formation of a separate Telangana state." He wrote another letter in December 2012 to Shinde underlining that his party had not withdrawn the earlier letter. "I would like to bring to your notice that our party has stated its opinion through its letter dated October 18, 2008, to then Minister of External Affairs Shri Pranab Mukherjee and our letter is still with your government. We have not withdrawn our letter," he said.
Chandrababu Naidu said, he was not against the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh but the way the Centre had gone ahead with its decision. He said, "we are very clear, we are pro-Telangana, but the manner in which the decision was taken was wrong. The central government should have taken views from both regions." He added that an all-party meeting should have been called and the issue should be discussed with them.
INDIA HONEST want to know : Do Dig sir have any answer to this double speak and twisting of facts ?
