Jammu & Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah said that the media "hyped up" the Keran infiltration attempt by Pakistan-based terrorists saying it as "second Kargil",.
He asked "Did the state administration, or for that matter the Army, describe Keran as the second Kargil war?" Only few more than 20 terrorists (*Pakistani army men in disguise of killers)were killed and at least two Indian jawans (*patriots) wounded in the 15-day gun battle in Keran which ended on Tuesday.
INDIA HONEST wishes to clarify that nobody is blaming army, it is you politicians, who are hiding the crucial negligence, by ignoring it.
In stark contrast, the Kargil war had lasted three months between May and July 1999 with 527 Indian jawans (*patriots) killed and around 700 of Pakistani infiltrators (*Pakistani army men in disguise of killers) and regulars eliminated. Apart from this, one Indian fighter jet and one helicopter was shot down.
Omar, who is the head of the unified command of various security agencies in J&K, said, "How can you blame the Army for projecting the infiltration bid as another Kargil war? It was the media who said it was the second Kargil war."
The CM added,"Neither the police nor the state administration was in any way involved in the operation. It was the Army and Army alone which repulsed the infiltration. Therefore, I cannot comment on the operation part of it," .
INDIA HONEST wants more appropriate terms or words must be used to put national interest in perspective (*) as now shown in the above media report.
IH further wants to know from Omar, what is the criteria for war,if it should have thousand killings or 100 km area occupied ? For us one inch or one injury is much important.
