How a demoralised and frustrated UPA government led by disillusioned prime minister Manmohan Singh, will be able to complete the next six to eight months of the remaining tenure is a trillion $ question .
We have seen in the history, that it is not only the legal or electoral necessity, but the sheer patriotism and feelings for national interest being their supreme ideology, that have made many ruling heads of governments in many nations, notably in Japan or Australia to relinquish power. Many nationalist ruling outfits have resigned and asked the fellow parties to elect any other person, better suited to lead their loved country. It is seen differently in many other countries, mostly among the Arab's Muslims, mainly different sects dominated countries like Iraq, Egypt or Syria or Maldives or more countries where the ruler never voluntarily leaves his power for the people or nation's interest, without any violence or social unrest.
In India, our leaders are the biggest "Juggaru" masters, that was proved by the Congress's Narsinhma Roa, who remained glued to his PM chair for full five years , even by buying votes of Sibu Soren and company. Yes we have few leaders, having morals like Atalji, who resigned on the floor of house through his one week government, once he came to know that it was marginally short of majority. He did not like to kill national interest by leading a bondage and limping government, like the present Congress Govt in centre or the Nitish Kumar government in Patna, both have sacrificed the interest of nation for the sake of power of chair.
More and more institutions like IMF., World Bank, ADB., or most of the rating agencies world over, and now even our own RBI are warning of steep decline in the economic conditions in India, with prediction of GDP growth going below 4%(between 3.5 to 3.8% ). With the CPI inflation excluding food article posted to rise above 9% for the whole of this financial year, food articles and petroleum products prices bound to go hay wire, the common man is getting crushed more and more, while constant increase in security risks both internal and external is all visible to become uncontrollable soon, the present and future both look bleak.
Our central leadership seems to be a perfect example of a "non- cohesive unit working with zero responsibility and accountability". While UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and PM Manmohan Singh are both frustrated, both having resigned to the circumstances, led by the highest number of corruption scams and resultant failed economy, they have been forced to remain mum, and that is not bad but worst omen for India, when the ruling party leadership has feeling of a lost battle, but does not have guts to accept it and resign.
