Congress questions Modi's visit to blast victims, when its leader Rashid Alvi asked, why he also didn't go to visit the affected families of the Muzaffarnagar riot victims?
Congress leader Rashid Alvi doubted, whether Modi had genuinely gone to sympathise with the affected families. Alvi said, “Did Modi actually go to offer his sympathies to the families ? Whey then did he not also also go visit the affected families of the Muzaffarnagar riot victims; he did n’t even offer any condolences to them. How then can we believe that his intention was genuine. It is just politics nothing else.”
IH says,as SP party's CM. Akhilesh Yadav in Muzaffernagar and Omar Abdulla, both wanted to hide the facts from people and people's leader, so they restricted any opposition leaders visit there, so no BJP party leader could visit those places for many weeks.
In Patna, every thing happened before the eyes of Modi and other BJP leaders, and it was a moral duty of a national leader to stand by the victimised people at the time of their grief. Congress leaders don't have that feeling in heart, they are most worried to save their power seat only, so they are most frustrated.
It is significant that the Congress till a few months ago had taken a decision not to engage and respond to Modi’s attacks on the Congress, the reasoning being that it would give him undue importance. However, once he was declared Prime Ministerial candidate , the Congress has found , “he can no longer be ignored. He attacks us everyday so we have to respond.”
IH observes : as Modi is now centred mainly to the states, where assembly elections are to be held in a month, but once he starts visiting important other places, specially south, it will be important to watch the public response in the meetings. As many are predicting , there will be huge response in other places also, that will be cascading demoralising effect on Congress as well on few allies, they should plan for that in advance.
