At last it was "A Big step in the Right Direction" as the Controversial chief of the Sri Ram Sene Pramod Muthalik was forced to exit BJP within hours. This will help the party to fit with the changing scenario of national politics in India, and it will be a challenge to the so called secular parties to make retrospective amends in their much dangerous divisive policy used for the nasty vote bank politics .
It was highlighted in the news media prominently that just a few hours after the controversial chief of the Sri Ram Sene Pramod Muthalik, linked with an attack on women at a pub in Mangalore in 2009, was inducted in the BJP by its state unit in Karnataka, his admission to the party has been stopped by the central BJP leadership.
Mr Muthalik told reporters,"I have joined the BJP unconditionally to campaign for the party anywhere and ensure Narendra Modi becomes prime minister to provide a decisive leadership,".
Soon after, the Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar opposed his entry and said,"They shouldn't do it, his membership should be cancelled. I have asked central leadership that he should not be allowed to join, and his membership should be cancelled," .
BJP spokesperson Nirmala Sitharaman said that instructions have been given to the state unit that Mr Muthalik's entry will not be acceptable. "The central Party has clearly rejected the admission of Pramod Muthalik. This was something the central party felt strongly about and has instructed the state party," .
Mr Muthalik had courted a huge controversy in 2009 after members of his Sri Ram Sene carried out an attack on a pub in Mangalore during which young women were dragged out. He had also carried out a campaign against the celebration of Valentine's Day.
Mr Muthalik, who was arrested after the incident, had claimed that their actions were "aimed at protecting the women" but was condemned by the then Karnataka chief minister BS Yeddyurappa , who had said the Sri Ram Sene had "nothing to do" with the BJP or its ideological mentor, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh .
Congress and the new comer AAP lost no opportunity to slam the BJP inducting Mr Muthalik, while the turncoat leader Ashutosh of AAP party forget very soon his party's dubious decision to welcome the terrorist supporting Muslim leader Farooki, who objected the arrest of Yasin Bhatkal, calling it selected harassment of Muslims in India . Of course these so called secular parties in the habit and practice of double speak when the objective is related to polarisation of minority votes.
INDIA HONEST suggests BJP must make suitable amends in its image building process, when few of its steps has been alleged to be anti community, despite the party being praised highly among the nationalistic and patriotic mass of people. In politics sometimes perception becomes more important then the reality.
