The Congress legislator Gajraj Singh was caught on camera manhandling party candidate Nagma in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday.He grabbed the actor-turned-politician Nagma, when she was campaigning in Hapur by her face and reportedly kissed her. Nagma angrily broke free and walked off.
Hapur is a part of the Meerut constituency from where Nagma is contesting next month's national election. The candidate had reportedly gone there to inaugurate a party office and visit a gurdwara.Though the visuals have been seen on various channels and websites,the Congress have failed to acknowledged and refused to take action on Congress leader Gajraj Singh.
The Congress legislator Gajraj Singh also refused to answer questions about his conduct, but instead of taking on him the Congress high command promptly took action on the Uttar Pradesh Congress leader Pramod Katyan who did speak up for Nagma seems to have been punished instead.
Mr Katyan had said,"Gajraj Singh is an experienced leader. He should maintain the decorum expected of his position," and but instead of punishing the culprit, the whistle blower Pramod Katyan was expelled on Monday, just after he criticised Gajraj Singh.
