Four Indian Mujahideen terrorists including the 'chief bomb-maker' Waqas alias Javed, a resident of Punjab in Pakistan were arrested along with three others suspected members from Jaipur and Jodhpur in Rajasthan by the Special Cell of Delhi police.
The terror module, which was busted with the help of Intelligence Bureau, was learnt to have been holed up in Rajasthan for past few weeks and had plans to carry out terror attacks during the election rally of BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.
SN Shrivastava, special commissioner of police (special cell), confirmed and said,"During Waqas' interrogation, it was found that three of his accomplices in Rajasthan were planning terror strikes," said Shrivastava.Waqas born in 1989 in Pakistan, diploma in food technology, and was sent to LeT camp for training.Waqas was introduced to Bhatkal brothers in Karachi. He came to India via Kathmandu and was received by Tehseen Akhtar."Waqas was planning to meet his aides in Ajmer and plan a terror attack.Under Yasin Bhatkal's order, Waqas participated in terror strikes in Mumbai, Jama Masjid, Pune and Hyderabad," .
According to police, Waqas is suspected to have played a key role in several terror plots including Jama Masjid shootout ,Varanasi bomb blasts in 2010, Mumbai blasts in 2011, Pune blasts in 2012 and the explosions in Hyderabad, Bodh Gaya and Patna in 2013.The counter-terror sleuths also claimed to have seized huge cache of explosives and detonators. Waqas is learnt to have trained several other members of the module in making bombs.
Union home minister Sushil kumar Shinde calls it big success, but it was the same Shinde who few months earlier had completely demoralised the investigative agencies by accusing them that they have been involved in selective "harassment" of Muslims.
Home Minister Shinde posted instructions to the chief secretaries of all the states and UTs explaining that "the Central government has received several representations alleging harassment of innocent Muslim youth by law enforcement agencies, so as to ensure that no innocent "Muslim youth" is wrongfully detained in the name of terror".
Samajwadi party's tall leader and muslim face Farooqui had a long list of innocent terrorist trapped in fake encounter that extended from Sadiq Jamal, Tulsiram Prajapati, Ishrat Jahan, Shohrabuddin , Shahzad Ahmad of Batala House to Yasin Bhatkal of Indian Mujahideen; and it was well expected by end of 2014 the list will also include Dawood Ibrahim, Syed Lakhvi and many more.
Commenting on Bhatkal’s arrest, Farooqui had earlier said: “Is this arrest based on crime or religion?" "If he is a terrorist, then he should not be spared but if he has been arrested just because he is a Muslim, then caution should be exercised as we don't want to send a wrong message to the entire community."
The so called secular Samajwadi Party was forced to distance from the remarks after huge uproar and the same Farooqui was gladly lapped by the Aam Admi Party as their prized Muslim leader last December in Kejariwal's eagerness to win Muslim votes in the election.
INDIA HONEST surprises what is that AAP has promised, to promote a change in the way politics is done in India, as most people have failed to understand what it will be ? Will it be visible in AAP's selective targeting of corruption charges on Ambani/Adani while protecting Naveen Jindal of coal scam and Sheila Dixit or will it be in the shape of accepting and legalising Khaps verdict in Hariyana or the last one but most important from national security angle , will it be in the shape of AAP's creating new style of minority vote polarisation target by even adding any tainted leader of anti national terrorist supporting credentials, but a Muslim leader ?
