What Delhi-based journalist Ajaz Ashraf concluded, while narrating on the meeting and the subsequent statement released by the president of Delhi’s India Islamic Cultural Centre, Sirajuddin Qureshi, following his 35-minute meeting with Modi on 26 June, is much ambiguous and more of a one sided approach to the question he raised in the column as ,"What Modi must do to end 'fear politics' among India's Muslims ?"
Ajaz Ashraf, the journalist and author wrote in his column, "But what remains ambiguous is the nature of this fear: Whom do they fear? What are they afraid of ? Is the Prime Minister’s prognosis of the community’s apprehensions rooted in reality?"
"All these questions arise from the statement released by the president of Delhi’s India Islamic Cultural Centre, Sirajuddin Qureshi. Just about every newspaper had its reporter speak directly to Qureshi, who further elaborated upon the statement he had released. Piecing together these multiple accounts, we get a glimpse into Modi’s mindset. He exhorted the Muslims to “come out of fear politics” and commended the fact that 9 percent of them 'voted for him'. He also promised to look into the alleged false implication of Muslim youths in terror cases, and resolved to provide equal development opportunities and modern education to the community".

INDIA HONEST agrees that a suspicion remains among the mindset of the minority, though they selectively voted for BJP and that confirms the growing beliefs and conclusion that acceptance is growing among the minority for BJP or Modi. But the bare fact most of political and media analyst have missed in arriving at the conclusion on the cause of such change .
And it is much different than what they thought as the reason for the change in perception, and it lies in the fact that Modi, who took hundreds of meetings through out India in last six months during and after election and in the process, only by interacting directly in the rallies, Narendra Modi was able to break the dark illusion created by the political opponents by falsely blaming Modi during the whole of last one decade, as a person responsible for the killings of Muslims in riot.

People's meeting face to face with Modi helped much of the smoke being cleared, and now more people have a clear idea on him and they also got to know, how the so called political leaders cheated them (minorities) only for their political benefits .
Though nobody is sure what Modi has assured on the terror blame on the Muslim youths in the meeting with Quershi, but no one doubts that as a PM. of the nation it is his well known obligation to save the innocent. While need of greater emphasis on modern education and bigger preparation for higher employbility among the youth is well debated objective of Modi as he had announced on number of times.

Ashraf argued further for the Muslims and said , "It is possible that Qureshi’s perception of the meeting could vary significantly from Modi’s. However, since the Prime Minister’s Office didn’t issue a statement on the meeting, we can assume Qureshi has correctly articulated Modi’s insights into the problems bedevilling the Muslim community.
The author Ashraf suggested that "these media accounts can be parsed to say that: One, Modi hasn’t dubbed as absurd the community’s suspicion that its boys are being falsely implicated in terror cases. But this also doesn’t imply that he accepts that the community’s suspicions have an element of truth. Two, he does not believe Muslims, because of their backwardness, require preferential or compensatory treatment to improve their socio-economic conditions. Three, he feels Muslims should take to modern education, a statement that can be seen as an implicit critique of the madrassa system of imparting knowledge ".

He explained that Modi’s position on these three issues is not unique, reflecting as it does, in many ways, that of the BJP’s. He, however, might signal a break from the past if he were to, say, appoint a committee of eminent people to review terror cases involving Muslim youths, as Qureshi claimed to have proposed. Modi implicitly believes Muslims are strongly disinclined to vote him or his party, for he wouldn’t have otherwise appreciated the negligible 9 percent of them who did end up voting for him. It is in this context that his exhortation to Muslims to “come out of fear politics” should be analysed, even as he promised to address their apprehensions."
INDIA HONEST has a question on the author's extra and jealous guard on the community and doubts his reasoning. He intends to target Modi as done by others in past, while forgetting the importance of the role for their own (minority) community and religious leaders, who have the habit of keeping the community most of the time in dark.
Such leaders had derailed their education objectives, only pushing them to selective Madarssa's primitive education and supported the politics of division only to consolidate their personal equations and in result of that they pushed many of the Muslim youths in particular and people of their community in general, as well to wander away from the main stream.
Very few among the minority leaders had ever complained or objected when the innocent common people of the country were killed in terror activities within the nation or on other occasion when the acts of sectarian genocide on minorities there has happened in the neighbouring countries, and all that had made a deep sense of distrust and divide among the communities in Indian context only because of these leaders selfish and bi-partition attitude .
In the last six decades the nation has seen numerous games of communal and caste based political appeasement, being played by the Congress party and few other so called secular parties that has put a deep mark of hate and distrust among the communities, but it has to end one day for the welfare of the people and nation, and it seems the time has come now with Modi on the driving seat with authority.

IH wishes more of such journalism should come ahead to debate on the minorities but only with a positive mindset, that only will help the new government to put India back on growth trajectory. Growth is the only medicine that will clear the biased and artificially created notion of fear among the minorities, yes provided only if the venom spreader are stopped by the people themselves effectively and boldly.
