A report confirms that Chinese smartphone company Xiaomi's top official has promised to become the biggest cell phone supplier to India in two years at an international internet forum in Wuzhen in Zhejiang province in eastern China.The four-year-old Chinese company Xiaomi's CEO, Lei June, made the forecast while speaking at the World Internet Conference .
Xiaomi, which is now ranked third in the world, just after the US Apple and South Korean Samsung, has made India a target area to rapidly expand their international footprint, while it has launched its products in India for the first time this year only and have fared well so far despite the threat associated with them on data security, by introducing many newer models of mobiles already available in China in Indian market also.
INDIA HONEST wonders that if this was the hope Narendra Modi has generated, when he called Indian Corporate to come ahead and take initiative to make most common products on Indian soil with local know-how and local workforce ?
