Why Quora user Sagar Hindustani Stopped Volunteering for the AAP.

LET PEOPLE LEARN LESSON......IF YOU LOST TRUST ON AAP

Quora user Sagar Hindustani, once an avid AAP volunteer, has explained why he stopped volunteering for the AAP. This is not the first time that someone who dedicatedly worked for the AAP stopped volunteering for the party. It has happened with stalwarts of the party in recent months.

Here is what he wrote:

1. Honesty: AAP never delivered honestly anything to the general public. I was shocked when I found leaders discussing on what story lines and dialogues will make AAP grow its base. These stories many times were total lies. Example: Yogendra Yadav's story as to why he used to call himself Salim in Mewat.

2. Price for tickets: AAP started selling its tickets for MP. I investigated and found this to be true. My questioning were ignored and I was told I will be answered after elections. After elections, nobody bothered to answer. Later on in Delhi elections 2015, people approached me for advice on how to get tickets. I used my contacts inside Delhi AAP, decided prices and helped them procure the tickets; they all are MLAs today.

3. Muslim appeasement and castism: In the first Delhi elections, AAP refused to comment on Kashmir and Pakistan issue - claiming that the focus was on Delhi and AAP shall not address foreign issues. However, after some time I saw AAP supporting GAZA militants. This international development had much less to do with India than Kashmir and Pakistan. The selection of candidates was based on caste analytic too.

4. Sexual scandals in AAP: Many women were exploited in AAP - some willingly, some forced to submission for political mileage. Sleeping with top AAP leaders became a simple way for many incompetent and not-so-committed volunteers to get good positions, or at least get into unofficial controlling positions. An example is here: AAP rebel stung : Yogendra Yadav tries to defend a party worker accused of sexual harassment.

5. Not-open: AAP is a closed door organisation. Whereas it started as an open idea - where much developments happened on stage at IAC, the closed door policy slowly took over AAP completely. No AAP volunteer who has not been inside behind a particular closed-door meeting can actually tell why some decision was made in that meeting. And strangely - this had a unique advantage for AAP - as when prominent and dedicated volunteers started exposing the truth behind closed doors - others did not believe them as they were not purview to any meeting where any decision had been made.

6. Monetary scandals: AAP encouraged its candidates and top leaderships to indulge in financial irregularities. Many of AAP's candidates and leaders took money from vulnerable individuals who saw AAP as being against corruption. Not only is Prashant Bhushan being scammed a good example of it - I know many other people who have been scammed of lakhs of rupees. Today - AAP being in government in Delhi is in a position to conduct many regular-market run-of-the-mill scams. For example: In the latest one - one person whom I helped get the ticket called me about 15 days before the illegal colonies were
being regularised with the data of properties in unauthorised colonies that will be highly appreciated after regularisation. One person I know based on this pre-knowledge invested about Rs 700 crores and now those properties are worth about Rs 1500 crores.

7. No Swaraj: While the whole philosophy of politics by AAP is based upon Swaraj - it is missing from internal workings of the party. When I tried to implement Swaraj in Gurgaon - Yogendra Yadav and other top party leaders started insulting me on every occasion possible - using foul words like Gaandu, Bhosdike etc. - these are the same big leaders who have never used a single foul word in their entire exposure of thousands of hours in front of cameras. This lead to a lot of disillusion in my mind about the party I had given everything to - at one point of time.

8. Lack of policy and ideas: AAP lacks not only in honesty but also in policy making and idea implementation to work for the progress. While we may draw comparison sheets with other political parties in India - I draw comparison sheets with other political parties around the world and draw my conclusions.
