When 90% Indian People like Saffron Culture, Can National Politics Dare Neglect It ?

Concerned at the government's attempts to saffronise the education system and disregard the views of Christian community-run educational institutions while forming its new education policy, Christian MPs from eight parties met here on Thursday with Cardinal Baselios Cleemis presiding over it, wrote TOI ,Mohua Chatterjee.

India Honest thanks the power block "Christian community-run educational institutions" for accepting that in the last six decades the education system and the institutions were either Christianised or it was made to lean on Left Red .

It was decided at the meeting that the MPs jointly , and representatives of all Christian institutions schools, colleges, medical colleges, engineering colleges and technical education colleges will write to HRD minister Smriti Irani to say they should be consulted on the new policy. There are over 35,000 Christian-run institutions in the country .

India Honest has serious objection on these communal leaders' intention, after pressing the venom of communal divide in politics, they now intend to divide the hearts and mind of children, and they want to sow the seeds of religious venom and divide by creating discrimination in education on communal line.

Apart from the participating MPs, Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee and Tamil Nadu chief minister Jayalalithaa have lent their support.

This the second meeting of Christian MPs and community leaders after March, when they had voiced their concern about attacks on churches at various places in the country. It was then decided the MPs would meet during sessions, to take up specific issues, as they felt the minority community was being targeted in many places and their voices were being ignored.

At the meeting, it was decided that as representatives of their community , the Christian leaders from various fields would act in a positive manner, try to add to policy-making and prevent negative situations from arising rather than just react to incidents or situations like the attacks on churches.

In case of the new education policy that the government is working on, the MPs will communicate their inputs to the HRD minister before the monsoon session gets over on August 13, which will be followed up by communications from the community's educational institutions.

At the meeting, it was also discussed that the secular fabric of India had been an integral part of the education system and now that it was under stress, “we (Christian MPs) want that the new policy should not tamper with it“,  the sources present confirmed.

The RSS' suggestion that definition of minority institutions be changed to refer to those with 51% minority students or its affiliate VHP saying India will be a Hindu nation by 2020, were also issues that came up for discussion.

Among those who attended Thursday's meeting were Rajya Sabha deputy chairman P J Kurien, Oscar Fernandes and three others from Con gress, Rabi Barnard and two others from AIADMK, Derek O'Brien from Trinamool Con gress, Dilip Tirkey of BJD Jose K Mani of Kerala Congress (M), P A Sangma (NCP) and former Nagaland CM Neiphiu Rio.

India Honest have serious objection on these Christian missionaries threatening ordering for of consulting them in finalising the education policy of the nation, where more than 90% population are nationalistic and merged deeply in saffron culture. Saffron, a colour of patriotism and proud for our ancient culture.

Yes Indians are proud of their patriot freedom fighters Bhagat Singh and Netaji Subhash Chandra, but never accept the enemy fouji Pakistan's Mushraf Parvej as leader, which the NCERT books were showing till now. Yes Indians respect the freedom fighter Mahatma Gandhi, but not the Gandhi title inheritor Congress leader Sonia, even when her contribution for the Christian institutions may be much more than for the nation.

The political leaders are playing in the hands of a powerful Christian missionary community though whose numbers are below 1% of population, but their forceful thrust on the education cannot override the aspiration of more than 100 crore Indians, who are culturally associated with saffron for long .
