AANDHI was released at time when the nation was going through turmoil of Emergency imposed by the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in country. The alleged reason for the ban imposed on AANDHI was the protagonist's character which had striking similarities with the then ruling Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Suchitra Sen, the leading lady who portrayed a leader of a political party was given remarkable appearance similar to Indira Gandhi.
What would stun the readers is that AANDHI was banned when the movie was running to packed houses in Mumbai and was in its 24th week, one week short of its Silver Jubilee week, thus spoiling its party.
Interestingly the ban was later removed when after Inder Kumar Gujral, who was the Information and broadcasting minister, saw the movie. He was impressed by the movie and gave a clean chit; got convinced that the movie had no connection with the life of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
India Honest is astonishingly surprised if the conditions in nation has gone worse than 1975-77 ? Gulzar, being a predominantly Urdu and Punjabi writer, how he missed the massacre of 5000 Sikhs in 1984 is a big surprise. So how you missed protesting then and accepted all these awards subsequently from the murderers of Sikhs and the Democracy by the same Congress.
Sorry Gulzar, it is your loyalty to awards giving Congress , that is forcing you to show dissent, history will remember you for this awkward dissent to a resurgent Democratic and Patriotic India.
गुलजार, ने एक फ़िल्म बनाई थी जिसका नाम था "आंधी" जिसका प्रसिद्द गीत है "तेरे बिना जिंदगी से शिकवा तो नहीं"। 13 फ़रवरी 1975 को रिलीज होने के बाद कांग्रेस की सरकार जिसकी प्रधानमंत्री इंदिरा गांधी जी थी उन्होंने पसंद न आने के कारण इस फ़िल्म पर बैन लगा दिया। उस समय गुलजार के मुह से अभिव्यक्ति की स्वतंत्रता शब्द नहीं निकले क्योंकि Narendra Modi का राज नहीं था की जी भर के सत्ता को गाली दो..उस समय कांग्रेस और इंदिरा का राज था अगर मुह खोलते तो अगले दिन किसी ट्रेन,बस या अपने कमरे में गुलजार मरे पडे हुए मिलते..खैर 1977 संघियो के समर्थन वाली जनता पार्टी की सरकार आते ही फिर गुलजार को "अभिव्यक्ति की स्वतंत्रता" याद आई और इनकी फ़िल्म "आंधी" दोबारा रिलीज हुई..
अब ये जो तस्वीर दिख रहे हैं सोनिया गुलजार और मनमोहन की ये 2012 की है।।इस समय गुलजार जी "इंदिरा गांधी नेशनल इंटीग्रेशन अवार्ड" ले रहे हैं। अर्थात जिस कांग्रेस और इंदिरा ने उनकी फ़िल्म और अभिव्यक्ति बैन कर दी उसी कांग्रेस के हाथ से इंदिरा के नाम पर नेशनल इंटीग्रेशन अवार्ड ले रहे हैं जनाब...ये अवार्ड लेते समय उन्हें अपने साथ और देश के साथ हुई तानाशाही याद नहीं आई न ही इन्हें शर्म आई होगी।।कांग्रेस का खाने खिलाने वाला राज था तो सब चलता है। तब तक गुलजार का कांग्रेसीकरण हो चूका था।।
आज इसी गुलजार को मोदी के प्रधानमंत्री बनने के बाद देश में हालात ख़राब लग रहे हैं और अभिव्यक्ति में समस्या हो रही है आदि आदि..अभिव्यक्ति की समस्या इतनी है की कांग्रेस के जमाने में मुह न खोलने वाले गुलजार आज अखबारो और टीवी में मोदी सरकार के खिलाफ बोले जा रहे हैं।। फिर भी कहते हैं अभिव्यक्ति की स्वतंत्रता नहीं है माहौल नहीं है।बाकी आप सभी लोग समझिये की समस्या देश की है या कांग्रेस के पालतू तथाकथित बुद्धिजीवियों की??Mayank Agrrawal
