Rahul Gandhi's 2014 election core team consists of an important name, next only to Rahul's prime mentor Digvijay Singh, that is of India's Urban minister Jayram Ramesh, who recently came to much limelight for his role as the "Mashiha" of tribal and other rural marginal land owners, who were assured by him that, from 2014 the landowners, whose land will be acquired, will be getting compensation at four time the market price.
It was a game plan so neatly crafted to get a win for UPA 3, like the NREGA , that was used for getting mandate for UPA 2. Both Rahul and Jayram, used this bill thoroughly in all the election meetings in rural and tribal areas to promise a bright future( the only hope for future to sell land and survive) for the negligble .001% of the population, whose land henceforth, "if acquired" will get a huge compensation of four times of the market price of the land, that is so acquired and taken.
CBI director Ranjit Sinha, whose institution CBI remained constantly in the watch line of the nation, specially when the Supreme Court accused the CBI, as the caged parrot in the hands of government, and asked to promote its autonomy, has almost thrown a bomb-shell, when he accuse that the Congress' highly self acclaimed achievements in Food Bill, NREGA and in the line Land Acquisition Bill, are prone to corruption.( Now it is to be seen, after this announcement, will SC remove the caged parrot tag from CBI ?)
CBI director Ranjit Sinha voiced concern over increasing the FDI limit in infrastructure projects and said government-run social sector schemes such as NREGA are prone to corruption. The remark comes in the context that the agency is probing many companies and industrialists for irregularities in the coal block allocation scandal.
Sinha has said infrastructure building through the public-private partnership model could lead to a spike in corruption cases as the potentially lucrative contracts may encourage collusion between big firms and state officials. On corporate lobbyists, he said, "The exercise of discretionary powers by corrupt officials involves the policy of pick-and-choose... What would be the best model or procedure for allocating the scarce resources on an equitable and fair basis, while maintaining the balance of economic development?
This is a question on which would depend the degree and scope of corruption in that particular sector of economy..." . Sinha further said: "The real estate sector has found a highly debatable place in the list of corruption prone areas.Acquisition of land for public purposes can have big socio-political overtones. The question which demands our interest is about the extent to which builder mafia is conniving with a set of corrupt officials.""This route is full of pitfalls and it has opportunities for corrupt activities with big scope for collusion among promoters of consortium to whom such projects are awarded and corrupt public servants at the decision-making level," .
INDIA HONEST suspects ,if Jayram Ramesh has opened the door, when he planned a solid base, for the possible corruption scams to be made in UPA 3, by enacting such controversial laws, so as to trap the potential investors and users, in a big way ? Is Congress, the mastermind of all corruption scams in India ?
