How people will know what Jairam Ramesh has been saying, is personal or official ? When senior Urdu journalists had conveyed to Mr. Ramesh that the community was hurt by Rahul Gandhi’s remarks and suggested that the Congress vice-president should apologise, Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh, who is also trusted spokesman for Rahul Gandhi, in response admitted that what Rahul said had hurt Muslims and should apologise to them.
Jairam Ramesh also acknowledged of the controversy created by the remarks and assured what they have suggested may be considered. The Union Minister also said that "even some of his non-Muslim friends expressed dismay over the ISI comments, but clarified that the intention was never to hurt anyone".
INDIA HONEST reasonably argues, will the minister explain if it was not intended to hurt the innocent minority community villagers , then what was the intention ? Is not Rahul intended to malign Modi , for that he casted a section of society, even belonging to Muslim community as anti national ?
It is a question of grave concern, why Rahul has not appolised from an important section of minority up till now , when the EC has alredy reprimended him for the anti national accusation, and even now a senior Congress minister Jairam Ramesh has accepted Rahul's wrong and advised him to apologise to the Muslims ? People of the nation equally demand an apology specifically from the whole Muslim community .
The Congress distanced itself from the comment of Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh, on the controversy sparked by party vice-president Rahul Gandhi’s remarks on ISI getting in touch with Muzaffarnagar riot-hit youth, when the party spokesperson Meem Afzal said,"Mr.Gandhi has already clarified his statement in reply to the Election Commission (EC) and the party has also spoken about the issue".
Mr. Afzal said,“I do not know what Jairam Ramesh has said. But "whatever" he might have said may be his "personal" view. This is not the view of the party". Mr. Afzal further added that his party respects the wisdom of the EC, adding that it had appreciated Rahul Gandhi’s intentions.
BJP spokesperson Siddharth Nath Singh said Gandhi had hurt the sentiments of the Muslim community and should have apologised to them by now. However, taking a dig at Mr. Ramesh’s comments the BJP said it has to be seen whether Rahul Gandhi will apologise to the Muslim community or the former will apologise to his party leader.
INDIA HONEST wants two clarification from Congress party spokesperson Meem Afzal, a) has EC praised Mr. Rahul Gandhi for his comment, as Afzal suggested that EC had appreciated Rahul Gandhi’s intentions ?
b) When and how people will know or determine that a senior minster and party spokesman Jairam is saying to the media men in public, is personal or official ?
