Rahul Gandhi Received a Sharp Rebuke from the Election Commission .

Rahul Gandhi and the coterie around  him including Jairam Ramesh are feeling the pinch, with the passing of each day. The frustration of possible defeat in the assembly elections and that leading to further setback in 2014 election , has resulted in loss of temper and that is reflected in their talk.

Still on the heel of  a sharp rebuke from the Election Commission to Rahul Gandhi, the prime spokesman and Congress leader Jairam Ramesh caused another blunder, when he compared the BJP to a jackal, saying all it does was sniff around, adding that it would be over for Narendra Modi if he loses the upcoming general elections. It is expected that  BJP will be too eager to object this by petitioning to Election Commission, very soon.

Earlier on the day, Rahul Gandhi received a sharp rebuke from the Election Commission, which said it "takes exception to the tone, tenor and content" of sections of his recent speeches which accused the opposition BJP of inciting communal riots. The commission also said that it is not satisfied with the Congress Vice President's explanation of the contentious remarks delivered at election rallies last month.

It said in its order that Mr Gandhi has violated rules that ban politicians from aggravating differences or causing tension between communities, criticising political parties based on unverified allegations, and appealing to communal feelings to land votes.

Meanwhile Mr Gandhi, who is leading his party's campaign for elections in the next few weeks in five states including Delhi, has been warned by the Commission to be "more circumspect during election campaigns."

INDIA HONEST had observed earlier, these assembly elections, leading to 2014 election, will be a memorable one, but for wrong reasons and bad tempers, mainly from the ruling side.
