Inaugurating Reliable Hospital, run by an all-Muslim Trust in Galteshwar in Balasinor, a predominantly Muslim area, which used to be a Congress bastion, Modi said referring to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's statement in Chhattisgarh that he was talking of history and geography while he should have been discussing economy.
Modi said, "Mr Prime Minister, I want to know, the country wants to know, who changed the geography of India so that your own village is not a part of India... who split India...," he said referring to the partition and Singh's village, which is now in Pakistan.
Yes the people of India has big grudge on Congress, for the biggest blow to independent India's sovereignty was caused by the mule surrender of part of Kashmir to Pakistan and vast land area to China in 1962. Modi regretted the foreign aggression and also questioned the justification, referring the letter from Government of India letter to his office asking for a change in the route of historic Dandi March,when he asked,"Why is China squatting at the doors of India? Geography of India is being changed even by the UPA government who wants to divert the historic Dandi Heritage Route by thirty kilometres,".
He said, "Six months back, your government wrote a letter to me suggesting that when building the Dandi heritage route, if we take a 30-km detour from the path walked by Mahatma Gandhi, it would be convenient. He argued,"who is changing the geography of Mahatma Gandhi? You are giving lessons in history and geography in Chhattisgarh!". He asked Singh as the Congressman,"what political compulsion forced the Centre to still describe the 1857 Freedom Movement as "mutiny" in textbooks".
But it is to remind Congress prime minister cum economist and reformist Manmohan Singh, that while arguing and blaming for the lack of knowledge of history on Modi, you are ignoring rather neglecting the important task of managing economy, which is falling more fast then what it rose in the nineties or at the beginning of this century.
Are not, You the PM, responsible for that ? How the scenario has changed in five years that , India, which was regarded strongest bellwether emerging economy of the world, with a nearer to double digit growth ? How India's fortune has tumbled so low, that most world rating agencies are warning to degrade it a level below investment grade ?
INDIA HONEST pleads : Sir, as the renowned economist , you are the best person to answer, and for this you have to open your mouth on economy, the election campaigning on history is not your bread butter . History will still remember you in spite of all these corruption scams, if you still act before it is too late .
