Why Sheila Dikshit is Really Worried This Fourth Time ?

In her quest for a fourth consecutive term as chief minister, Sheila Dikshit is really worried at the core of her heart . She led a lonely campaign over the weekend while the BJP top brass turned out in strength to drum up support for her challenger Harsh Vardhan.

With campaigning in Delhi ending on Monday, candidates and parties set a scorching pace, but with top Congress leaders staying away, Dikshit campaigned on her own, helped by local party leaders and family members.

The Congress Vice President's rally held at Dakshinpuri area in South Delhi on November 17 witnessed a very poor turnout, while thousands of people gathered to hear Modi's address in his last rally in Delhi before the Assembly elections on December 4 .In stark contrast when compared to Rahul's rally at the same venue, where Sheila has to work hard even to request the people to remain there till Rahul's speech, it was full house at the rally of Modi today and the excitement of people was so palpable that they got restless when former BJP President and Delhi in-charge Nitin Gadkari took a little long to end his address, the crowd forced him to cut short his speech as they started shouting Modi's name until he came to address the gathering.Modi's 35-minute address was interspersed with people chanting "Modi, Modi".

The opinion is divided over AAP's success, in their ability to corner a sizable seats, being a first timer and moreover their self confidence divided, with the money related turmoil with Annaji coming in open and again later on it was shattered seriously with the repercussion of the Media.Sarkar's sting operation, when of the AAP stalwart Sazia Elmi was pushed to resign.

But though AAP was never considered as the absolute single claimant for the CM seat, but it was more recognised as the spoiler of chances for the other two parties. Here the question crops up that whom AAP will hurt more ?

The BJP party has a bigger base among the traditional middle classes, always a reluctant section of voters that traditionally lacks enthusiasm, while the new wave of Modi is set to work on all the sections, the sizable numbers of new young voters hold the key to swing.

Though any possible erosion in this segment will cause worry to BJP, but Kejriwal's appeal in jhuggi jhonpri clusters has become a serious concern for Congress. The enthusiastic response AAP has received in their appeal to "give AAP a chance for Delhi" but consider Narendra Modi for the Lok Sabha poll is a bigger confusion to Delhi voters , when AAP is doubted to cross the tally of twenty, much short of the half mark of thirty five.

The aap supporters are enthuastic lot, but the wishes of supporters only may not win an election, and while AAP chief Kejriwal might be a greenhorn in politics, he has been able to pitch a simple and direct message to voters: change your fate by spurning a corrupt Congress.

One comment is heard repeatedly, "Dikshit will be third behind the two,", while Kejriwal has been close on the heels of Sheila Dikshit in her own turf, the often quoted  prediction has shattered the dream of her for a fourth term.

INDIA HONEST agrees with the street prediction, and when AAP is marginalised as a new-comer (having not so clean image anymore), but with the potentiality of denting the Congress apple-cart, it will remain to be seen, if the Modi wave along with the clean image as a good administrator of  Harsh Vardhan, will be able to get a clean majority for BJP ?
