Earlier on Sunday, the Delhi Police said they had received inputs that the IM was planning to abduct Kejriwal for the release of its founding member Yaseen Bhatkal, who was arrested from the Indo-Nepal border last year. Hours after reports emerged that terror outfit Indian Mujaheddin was planning to abduct Arvind Kejriwal, the Delhi chief minister refused to accept any form of security cover and said the Delhi Police were playing politics along with the central government.
Kejriwal, who had earlier turned down Z-category cover by the Ghaziabad Police, confirmed again that he won’t accept any cover despite the IM threat. He tweeted, “I am not afraid of my life. As i said, i strongly believe in God. Will not take any security,” .
Denying the Z-cover security earlier, Kejriwal tweeted to his followers, “I wud urge police to stop playing politics. Rather than giving security to me, let them deploy these men for aam aadmi's security,”.
Kejriwal, who was silent on Twitter for quite some time, has now chosen to use the social media for the huge reach it has, when he chose to tweet on the microblogging platform to attack the police and the Centre by instantly broadcasting his message.
He said the police had themselves compromised his security, as he questioned, “By announcing this, have not police made me vulnerable. Now anyone can attack and it would be said that Bhatkal's men did it".
He repeatedly questioned the objective and intent of the police in making public the abduction threat issued by intelligence agencies. “Is Delhi police so foolish or are they playing politics? At whose instance?”
INDIA HONEST cautions, just fresh with the memory of tragic end of Sunanda Pushkar, deeply distressed by the stalking on twitter by the Pakistani columnist Mehr Tarar, that all important security matter should not be played down simply for the reason of public/media glaring.
Though the Congress controlled Delhi police and Congress supported AAP government led by Kejriwal are working on a very mutual but suspicious rather as one alleged "Stop Modi Plan" platform for a pan India outbreak, but even in spite of all understanding, the enemies of nation are always in search of such opportunities, so nothing should be taken for granted on any real time threat .
