The Nitish Kumar government has decided to wage a war on corruption and 576 officers and employees are likely to be dismissed from service within two months (just in time when the party will be going to public for votes) over graft allegations. Chief minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday reviewed the progress in the investigation of corruption cases against these officers and employees.
Since departmental proceedings against 187 of the 576 government employees are in the final stages, it is expected that they would be dismissed within a week, chief secretary A K Sinha said after a meeting with the CM. Nitish has asked the chief secretary to hold weekly meetings with the department heads and district magistrates (DMs) to review the progress in investigation of corruption cases.
In New Delhi Congress has woken up similarly just two month's ahead of election, when it's President Sonia Gandhi along with the Prime Minister began deliberations at Singh’s residence, with Sibal, Narayanaswamy, Antony, Chidambaram, Shinde and the Congress President’s political secretary Ahmed Patel were present as the members of this top decision making body, which is viewed as an interface between the party and the government.
The bills, which create the ‘framework’ to tackle corruption, include :
a) the Whistleblowers’ Protection Bill,
b) Judicial Standards and Accountability Bill,
c) a bill on citizens’ charter,
d) amendments to the Prevention of Corruption Act and
e) the just-passed Lokpal Bill, which has received assent of the President.
Why Rahul Gandhi Didn't Allow Anti Corruption Bills to be Used Against "Tsunami of Corruption Scam in Congress ...(http://indiahonest.blogspot.in/2014/01/why-rahul-gandhi-didnt-allow-anti.html)
Similarly in the case of Coalgate, a judgement on this scam was delayed systematically by the UPA government, so that no accused get punished till the election. The Union Government on the day admitted through AG Vahanvati before the Supreme Court that "something went wrong with the coal blocks allocation" and that it could have been done in a more refined manner........AG Vahanvati told a three-judge bench said, virtually accepting that mistakes were committed by the government in coal blocks allocation,..............Vahanvati's response came after the bench observed that the exercise could have been done in a "far better manner", when the AG said, "Everything could have been done in more refined and better manner. I accept my lordships view,"............
Why Delay by Congress in "Coalgate Justice has Caused "Justice Denied" to the Nation ? http://indiahonest.blogspot.in/2014/01/why-delay-by-congress-in-coalgate.html
INDIA HONEST asks for a serious thought on the need of "ensuring effective management of democracy in India". Every day it is seen that the political parties and the ruling governments only become serious to their duties and work effectively only when they have to seek votes from the public.
Only the latest two instance of the facts/allegation in today's "press conference by "Binny on AAP's betrayal to the promises"; second the evolution of Rahul Gandhi as the new crusader against corruption .
IH laughs at this shameless fraud by Rahul, as to why he was sleeping on his government misdeeds till four years and nine months?
Lastly IH even if it may not be practical to hold election, a referendum must be held every year, where any elected government will be forced to resign if they failed to get a minimum percentage of votes in their favour and then change in government or re-election.It is the only way out to survive a healthy democracy in India of Mulayam,Mayawati,Nitish Kumar or Manmohan Singh.
