Arvind Kejariwal, who boast himself to be trained in IIT at Kharagpur , had been recently on a study tour of Gujarat, to see and judge the progress made by the state in last one decade old ruling of the Chief Minister Modi.
Though Mr. Kejriwal uses high power specs, but he could not find any change in Gujarat in infrastructure, roads, housing or even in any of the social conditions in any of the villages in last ten fifteen years. What he could see with his blurred eyes was only destruction and devastation ,broken houses as seen after an earthquake, ugly roads and poor villagers, and bribe taking officers and more corruption, wherever and everywhere he went in his four days old study tour.
In contrast one other Gujarat-born celebrity techie and inventor Pranav Mistry, credited with work on wearable technology, tweeted his support for candidate Narendra Modi only this Friday. MIT-educated Mistry, who heads the Samsung Think Tank Team and is the vice president of their research team, had a complete different vision on Modi's Gujarat .
On Saturday, the 32-year-old posted a series of tweets praising Modi and the state of Gujarat. “I have travelled & lived in many lands of world. & I can proudly say what we have done in Gujarat is needed for India to compete the best,” read a tweet, followed by: “They asked me “Are you interested in politics?” “No, I am interested in future of my nation”, I said.
Pranav Mistry, who hails from north Gujarat’s Palanpur, is best known for his work in 2009 on SixthSense under Pattie Maes of MIT’s Fluid Interfaces Group. Sixth-Sense, described as a “wearable gestural interface” uses a wearable projector and mobile computing for use on everyday objects. Simply put, it can “turn any surface into a computer”. For example, using this, one could dial a number from a keypad projected on one’s palm, or just take a picture by holding up one’s fingers like a frame.
