The fire raised by the Shazia Ilmi's controversial advice to Muslim leaders has refused to die down. It was started when the AAP's Muslim face Shazia Ilmi asked the Muslims of India to become communal and said, "Don't be much secular. Muslims are too secular and they should become communal. They are not communal and do not vote for themselves. Arvind Kejriwal is ours (Muslims own man).
While AAP's leader Manish Sisodia accepted that Shazia should not have done communal politics, but the communally charged Shazia Ilmi refused to apologise for telling Muslims to become more 'communal'.
But it was repeated by another minority the Christian Father Frazer Mascarenhas, the principal of St Xavier's college Mumbai, who is known to be whimsical, has openly critiqued policies implemented by political parties. He has gone to the extreme level, just on the eve of election voting in whole of India, but specially in Mumbai, with his sudden letter to the students of St Xavier's college,where he criticises the Gujarat model of the development, the ills of 'communal forces' and 'capitalism' and advises students to 'choose well'.
It was a direct attack on a political party by an academician, the principal of St.Xavier's College, that led to the BJP to complain to the Election Commission about Mascarenhas, alleging that he has misused his position, even some members of the academic community also said that it is highly inappropriate for a an educator to influence young voters on who they should select.
INDIA HONEST trying to gauge the mood of the political fight, that is going every day more nearer to communal charge up, even when party like AAP and acemedicians like Father Frazer Mascarenhas has openly opted to play the communal card.
Shazia Ilmi has exposed before the nation, Kajriwal's hidden communal agenda to fight Modi in Varanasi . But Sazia may be excused because she has the huge objective of getting her community votes for her leader, but what the Father did by directing his students to not vote to Modi, is a serious question of attack on the neutrality of christian community in India .
