Where Madhu Kishwar Misjudged Smriti Irani's Role as HRD minister ?

12th pass' Smriti Irani is at the centre of a raging controversy ever since Madhu Kishwar, a women's rights activist and a Modi supporter, raked up a controversy over the fact that Irani, just a Class XII pass, has been given charge of the HRD ministry , which deals with the country's education.

Journalist and activist Madhu Kishwar continued her tweet attack on Smriti Irani, claiming even BJP insiders were unhappy with her appointment as HRD minister. She tweeted “Smriti Irani defenders please note: My sentiments echoed with great fervour within BJP circles.

BJP insiders saying much harsher things than me,“ and called Smriti's appointment an eclipse on a bright, rising sun.“HRD needs a head who can steer dexterously between Left & Right extremists in academia to define sensible course unfettered by partisan agendas,“ she further tweeted.

Irani reacted two days after Congress party launched a broadside against her, questioning her ability to deliver as HRD minister as she was “not even a graduate“. The minister said that she has been judged by her organisation with regard to her capacity to deliver on assignments.

INDIA HONEST differs with the view obtained by Kishwar on most of the grounds, as she has completely misunderstood the role of a HRD mister in Indian context. India's human resources development basically consist of three group of people : a) primary level and middle level; b) higher level and super higher level of professional level ; and c) adoptable to jobs and employment through vocational training etc.

Look in India we had HRD ministers with huge degrees like Pallam Raju, Kapil Sibal or Murli Manohar Joshi, but the degrees didn't make them very successful as HRD ministers. Here is the essence of the biggest problem of the Indian education system, where in last seven decades, except for the selected few who completed to the highest level of IIMs or IITs, all others turn out to become either dropouts or even if one completes the basic degrees, that turns out ultimately an educated unemployable.

Yes Irani may be an outsider to the higher education, but she had gone through the crucial middle level, where a bigger percentage of the students turns out dropout in search of job , but rarely able to pursue a gainful employment opportunity, though Irani has done it after the dropout in  her switch to as TV actor and other gainful acts. Yes this is the practical fact situation for a higher % of Indian youths, when in the middle they need start earning at the very young stage to meet the needs of their families.

Irani, as a sufferer herself, can understand the basics much well and only on this ground she may even hold the ministry in good stead better than many others , as she may avoid some of its bias and have better perspective. She showed it in her very first day by her choice that why she has greater appreciation for distance learning and vocational education which are sorely needed in India.
