Why Voters from Bengal and Seemandhra have Special Targets to Get, in the Last phase of Voting ?

Congress leaders are in big dilemma, long ago it was accepted by the leadership that Congress is loosing the power this time , and that was the assumption that forced them to cut back projecting Rahul Gandhi as their prime ministerial candidate.

But this fact is now admitted by several Congress leaders including senior leader Jaram Ramesh or Salman Khurshid, and they have in the recent past suggested the party is open to extending its support to a ‘Third Front’ or ‘Federal Front’ government. But the recent and prominent appearance of Priyanka Vadra in Amethi front has made a big change in their outlook, and it is known from the party sources that these statements have “displeased” the leadership.

Khurshid had now retracted his statement, that confirms opinion polls predicting a Congress drubbing and Congress leadership's acceptance that there is remote chances of any possible third front or federal front. Senior party functionaries now say Rahul Gandhi would prefer to sit in the opposition and rebuild the organisation rather than stitch up a government with the help of multiple parties.

Congress leaders now see overnight change in the Rahul's role in the changed circumstances, they say that Rahul has made it abundantly clear during interactions with office-bearers that he would go for “structural changes” in the organisation after the polls.

Even the Congress party statement has ended completely any Congress role after 16th May, as the statement on Rahul said ,“His priority remains rebuilding the organisation, especially in states where the Congress has lost its support base to regional forces. We expect a complete overhaul of the party after the elections,”.

INDIA HONEST argues that though the picture is now much clear though on record, however Congress  still maintain that there will be a Congress-led UPA-3 government while other Congress leaders ruling out any support to the Third Front — a non-UPA, non-NDA alliance of regional parties that include the Left parties, Samajwadi Party and Janata Dal-United, but the million $ question is what interference the common voters should take out before the final and crucial final phase voting on 100+ seats.

IH warns that the voters of this last phase of voting have one very crucial and special responsibility, that either they can opt for a strong majority to NDA or even they can also decide to go for a weak government, that will dependent on more divergent parties, but that will be  leading to pathetic period of instability, less effective and weak governance for the next five years.

Moreover IH feels that people of the two states, particularly Bengal and Seemandhra have an added responsibility to see that when there is visibility of more chances of NDA coming to power is more or less accepted by most political leaders and analysts .

It is to be seen, whether the possible NDA government may have sufficient members in the new ministry from these two financially weak states, as to guard and promote these states special individual aspiration and interest.
