Without going into deep discussion on the pros and cons of this Land Bill , now pending in the parliament, India Honest raises one single question to the Congress president Sonia Gandhi, "Why the UPA 1 and 2 remained blind to this important aspect connected to farmers during the entire period of nine and half years between 2003 to 2013 ?"
What the Sonia led Congress was doing in all these years? Waiting for what ? Was it not a fact that during this entire tenure of Congress rule was used shamelessly to grab millions of hectare land of farmers at near zero rates through their cronies, the Robert Vadras, the land sharks or the Jindals,buying huge lands and mines for through away prices, in the association of Congress ministers including Ms. Natrajan and company, direct under the nose of the mentor and alert watchdog Rahul Gandhi.
India Honest clearly blames the Congress leadership for their anti national role in enacting the unpractical Land bill 2013, only in the dying moments of their rule in UPA2 as they had clear signals of not returning to power.
Yes the clauses of that bill were too good looking at first glance, but too good to ruin the growth of the economy and risking nation's security and progress. But it was simultaneously much hazardous for the economy and nation.
The bill was almost meant to create stagnation for all national projects, be it defence or power or roads or utilities or irrigation or public roads and for further growth in new industries.
The present chaos, that is being dramatised in parliament by misleading of the facts, in the name of welfare of farmers will never be accepted by the people. The obstacles created in smooth passing of the new bill, by the opposition as led by the Congress, TMC and the Left leaders, will be remembered by the history as one big black anti people act .
The political blackmail by the Congress led opposition will be resulting in stalling of the urgent reforms and that will significantly harm the national interest in the economy,in the defence preparation and even survival of the irrigation based agricultural rural economy of India in long run.
