Congress President Sonia Gandhi has decided to pass the Baton to her son Rahul Gandhi just like a Rajyabhisekh done by a King or Queen, used to do in ancient time when their child grows up.And it is official now that Rahul Gandhi may take over the reins of Congress in April, at a conclave similar to the Jaipur's " chintan baithak " in January 2013 when he was officially named heir apparent and Vice President of Congress .
Congress is planning to call an AICC session between March 28 and April 15, when Parliament will be in recess, to secure the party's nod for the transition which the leadership believes should not be delayed any more. Congress chief Sonia Gandhi, who has consistently goaded (see the call below) Rahul to take charge, may be made chairperson of the Congress parliamentary party .
INDIA HONEST is sincerely worried on the character of opposition in the next Loksabha in 2019. Looking back in history and learning from it that when the innocent Baba was promoted to become the vice president of Congress in the Jaipur `chintan baithak' in January 2013 and the result is now well known, Congress was reduced to 44 M.Ps. in one year's time in 2014.
God save the King ! It is much fearsome to gauge what will happen to Congress numbers if the same person is promoted to become absolute King (along with the usual yesmen) and he has enough time of four years and full liberty to make or destroy an organisation.
