Prasun Maitra : Tuktuki Mondal Produced In Court .
Today, Tuktuki Mondal was produced in the Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate Court at Diamond Harbour in South 24 Parganas district. High police official Ms. Shanti Das, Additional Dy.Superintendent of Police. escorted Tuktuki to court with a heavy police contingent. Police did not allow Tuktuki's mother Seema Mondal or her younger sister Parbati to talk to her. Only once Tuktuki got chance to hug her mother. But not a single word was allowed to be exchanged. Many Muslims from Mograhat, including elder brother of Babusona, Chotu Ghazi, were present in the court.
Flouting all norms and legalities, police did not produce the victim girl under court custody, and kept her under police custody. Advocates were extremely aggrieved for it. They protested fiercely. But when 3 senior advocates visited SDPO office to protest, something happened there. And those senior advocates became calm.
It is learnt that Medical Test of the victim has been done by the police before taking to court. Victim's statement under sec. 164 has been taken by Hon'ble Judge. Then Tuktuki was produced in open court. Within 2 minutes the whole procedure was completed. Judge asked her name, and inquired if she wanted to go with her mother. Tuktuki only said - "no". Then Judge ordered to send her to Sanlap Juvenile Home at Narendrapur. Accordingly, she has been sent to that Home without allowing her mother to talk to her. On 27th July, Tuktuki will be produced before the Calcutta High Court.
