Anti-India acts won't be tolerated: Myanmar........ Myanmar assured India on Monday that it will not “countenance“ activities against India by insurgent groups from its territory , official sources said.The assurance came from Myanmar leaders in their interactions with foreign minister Sushma Swaraj, who paid a day-long visit to Myanmar capital Nay Pyi Taw.
This was the first highlevel engagement between the two countries since Aung San Suu Kyi's NLD party came to power in Myanmar. Sushma met President U Htin Kyaw and Suu Kyi, the state counsellor and country's foreign minister.
“The Myanmar side stated that activities of insur gent groups would not be countenanced from Myanmar territory and suggested that this issue should be addressed and taken forward through cooperation in established bilateral forums,“ a government source here said, adding that both sides agreed to work for peace and security along the border.

Bengal Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals, India's oldest pharmaceutical company established in 1901, is hoping to come back to profitability after over half a century. The company has posted a positive gross margin (profit before depreciation interest and tax) of Rs 11.24 crore in 2015-16 following a decade.
The iconic firm built by legendary Acharya Prafulla Chandra Roy has set a target of net profit this fiscal and has also come up with five-pronged strategy. The managing director of BCPL, CMA Chandraiah PM, told mediapersons that he was quite confident about making a net profit in 2016-17. “The company will have a net profit perhaps after 50 years. Earlier, there were profits but they were mainly owing to property sale,“ he added.
According to Chandraiah, the company has plans to increase revenue and reduce cost in order to have a better bottomline.The company has witnessed a loss of Rs 9.13 crore in 2015-16 over a turnover of Rs 88 crore, which was much lower than Rs 17.32 crore loss that was incurred in 2014-15.
