Why Food Security Bill 2013 Will Not Be "Game Changer" for Congress in Next Election ?

Why the incompetent political leaders wastes 90% of their time talking about communalism, racism, divisive forces, bad acts of spiritual gurus, when the root causes of most of the evil designs of society and political setup remains the hungry stomach and deprived services necessary to the common man for living ? This "National Food Security Bill 2013" is called by the Congress party as a "game changer" for the next election.

This bill is made within the perspective of an acknowledged fact that a) "one out of every four Indians today is a victim of hunger", and b) "half of the hungry are farmers who cannot eat what they grow", either because they are planting cash crops such as jute, fruits, cotton; or they're growing costly crops such as rice, wheat and corn, which they have to sell in order to repay the loans they get to buy seeds, fertilisers, etc.

The National Food Security Bill 2013 proposes to cover two thirds population, to get highly subsidised food grains: Up to 75 % of the rural population and  50 % of the urban population will have uniform entitlement of 5 kg food grains per month at highly subsidised prices of Rs. 3, Rs. 2, Rs. 1 per kg for rice, wheat, coarse grains respectively.

And the best chances are that this benefits may be available as trial basis to few of the districts in whole of India, may be 5%, by the start of election year 2014,   and as such no firm financial allocation is made for the time being, with the acute fiscal deficit crisis constrains remaining in Indian economy.

Now the present status raises the question that why even after nearly seven decades of independence, these shameless leaders still talk about fulfilling at cheap rates, the daily or monthly needs of wheat and rice of poor* (?) or BPL* population (?) or to 30%* to 80%* (ambiguity created intentionally) of poor population, that is also only few  months before an ensuing election ?

What right these learned and powerful part of the "same society" to share the "Power and Opportunity to Rule" in rotation, if they think their "own co nationals" still have to survive some how by eating full or half meal a day for decades or throughout their life ?

Then what is "difference between a bunch of pigeons, who depends on throwing of coarse grains by some people for filling their hunger" or "the 20 or 30 or even 6o crores of Indians" dependent on government to fill their stomach ?

Why not these leaders "live and show by example",  if they can survive with such donated rations and by depending on those worst grade of other essential services available, just for one month ?

Do the millions of Indians dreamt of this status in the forties, while fighting for "Independence and Democracy" ? Do these leaders have any thought for what is the meaning of "living with dignity" along with one being "self dependent" and "self reliant"?

Why the political leaders  cry and howl, when thousands of farmers are committing suicide ? They are taking their lives, not because they are not able to eat a meal, but they are doing this because they are afraid that their dignity will be snatched by the lender and he will not get any protection from the state, that they do not want 5 kg of rice or wheat for eating, but live a self reliant and dignified life of human being.

Why these patriotic double "nationalistic" leadership then the other ordinary nationals, think and understand, that by your actions of such 5 kg dole distribution, you want a substantial part of Indian  illiterate population to remain deprived (what is poor ? poor means  only one who is deprived of opportunities to become self reliant and capable), so as to allow you to rule them.

An honest '"Bapu Gandhi" spent his whole life, struggling for independence, by using minimum of the essential necessities, even spent whole life on one pair of "chappals" and "dhotis" as he had the self respect that when he cannot manage all this for most of the countrymen, he does not have moral right to have it for himself. With the same thought , he relinquished to sit on power seat, because he thought other Indian leaders are more capable of fulfilling the basic needs and subsequent betterment of lives of fellow Indians.

Then why these worshippers of "Bapu" and his ideology, but thoroughly incompetent and selfish political leadership remains stitched to power, when they have completely failed to deliver years after years ?
