SP's Muslim Face Azam Khan Betrayed Faith of Muslims

Secularist mask of Akilesh Yadav led SP government in Uttar Pradesh has been completely torn open in the spate of communal incidents, that has taken place since this government has come in power. Police records show that 39 communal riots have happened between March 2012, when Akhilesh too over as CM, and August 2013.

The "Headlines Today" special investigation 'Operation Riot For Votes' lays bare the plot at the base of the destruction unleashed in Muzaffarnagar as described by various police officers :

It is now official that, "After the first murders in Muzaffarnagar, all suspects were freed on 'orders from above' ".

HT asked : Main role I think was Azam Khan's, that he put pressure.
Second Officer,Fugana Police Station, R S Bhagaur, : That's right, that's right.

HT asked:You won't do anything, you will let things happen as they are happening.
Second Officer,Fugana Police Station,R S Bhagaur: Yes

HT: This is all political, they are trying to take advantage of the situation.
Second Officer,Fugana Police Station, R S Bhagaur: Everyone is trying to take advantage.

Full details of this politician's involvement in the volatile build-up, can be imagined by going through the sequence of events which led to large-scale communal violence.

The latest communal riot that took place in  Muzaffarnagar as reported in the media : "" started when a Muslim boy Shahnawaz, a local resident of the village molested two Hindu girls, who were returning home with their kin Gaurav from college.  Gaurav first tried to oppose and argue this act of molestation but finally decided to go home silently, only to return with his friend on bike  to the Muslim dominated area of the village to protest against molestation of their female relatives and allegedly attacked Shahnawaz.

Meanwhile, Shahnawaz’s neighbours who had assembled in anticipation of trouble; rushed to his rescue and nabbed the two youths and beat them mercilessly to death. Shahnawaz was also injured in the attack and  taken to hospital where he died .

The whole incident happened in the presence of the police personnel near the spot of the incident, but they refused to act or intervene . They probably decided to wait ( it is presumed ) for higher authorities from Lucknow as the matter was sensitive but communal and more important related to a criminal from minority  .

It is reasonably argued that any proper police action on the same day of incident ; by arresting  the culprits among the villagers would have stopped "all that nasty" took place on subsequent days.

Why the police forces at local level or district level did not do what their duty is in such type of incidents ?

Who stops them for taking the proper actions, if the incident relates to people from minority ?

Why not a police force act and protect the people and prevent escalation of tension and violence ? Why state police force will not arrest criminals ?

Why the leaders, often talk that criminal does not have religion, but failed to act and guide to act on this theory? Are not many of these so called secular leaders harming both minority or majority with their appeasement policy ?

Many residents of Civil Lines and Nai Mandi areas blamed ruling Samajwadi Party leaders and the authorities concerned for their failure to check the communal rioting. They accused the district authorities of acting at the behest of local SP leaders in failing to arrest the men who had hacked two youths — identified as Sachin and Gaurav — to death at Kawal village in the district on August 27.

A 54-year-old retired degree college principal in the city said, "Had they acted impartially and arrested those responsible for killing the two youths, the situation could have been nipped in the bud,".

Most residents in Shiv Chowk and Chappar areas accused senior district officials of playing into the hands of local SP leaders and compromising the law-and-order situation.

Why this adamant and arrogant political leaders are hell bent on escalating the communal tension and then blame other political parties for this ? Is it a secret plan of ruling parties to polarise the voters on communal line and than blame others for that, ahead of polls in 2014 ?

Condemning the violence Muslim clerics cautioned the people against "political conspiracies" aimed at dividing them on religious lines and appealed for peace and harmony in Uttar Pradesh. All India Muslim Personal Law Board member Maulana Khalid Rashid  said, "The Muzaffarnagar violence in condemnable.... For past few days, there were attempts to create tension in western UP.... The violence there is result of political game, which should be exposed,".

It is believed, Azam Khan got their calculations wrong, as he hoped to play saviour for the Muslims, so ordered the police to go slow on a handful of Jats angered with the killing of two of their boys in Muslim dominated Kaval village and were bent on creating mayhem. But as the game plan of the Muslim political leader misfired and the situation went out of control very quickly as the flames spread to the hinterland.

RLD. chief Ajit Singh and BSP's Leader Swami Prasad Maurya called for dismissal of the UP government and imposition of President's Rule. Ajit Singh said that the Akhilesh government is unable to control the situation and even senior police official have deserted Muzaffarnagar fearing for life and blamed so called secular  SP government of Akhilesh for more  than 100 communal riots in UP, since he came to power in March last year.
