BJP leader and former Union minister Arun Shourie has serious comments on the non performance of the UPA government, and he said this will help Narendra Modi of the best chances for the next election. Shourie degraded the bad performance clubbed with their involvement in so many corruption scam by this Congress government, led by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, that allowed him to equate Manmohan Singh as the "main election agent" of Narendra Modi, who is helping him to win. He reasoned that since the Prime Minister is not able to anything, so people are bound to look for Modi. He denied few person's perception that Modi is a divisive figure that would rupture India's communal harmony. Shourie said further that there was communal harmony, but emphasised more that "the question at the moment is what the country wants, that is not divisive but decisive leadership and Modi has certainly demonstrated that". Shourie said he would not speak about "stateless" leaders in Delhi, and no comment how Modi would unite the BJP behind him or fracture the top leadership like Sushma Swaraj or L K Advani.
Goa CM Manohar Parrikar who is a team player, backed Narendra Modi to the hilt as the BJP's top leader. He said," A national mood is forming, to install BJP in power and Modi as PM." Though news hungry media has imagined and created tussle, where a Modi-less BJP-led government is an out of blue possible outcome of the 2014 elections, naturally the focus of news basket will shift to a suitable BJP replacement and in Manohar Parrikar, the party may have the concealed hero, but nobody even remotely think of that.
