Who Will Believe "Rahul Was Possibly Not Party to the Decision" ?

It is more or less agreed that Rahul was possibly not party to the decision.that sought to reverse the Supreme Court’s July judgement on immediate disqualification of any MP or MLA  convicted for more than two years.

But as it was discussed and approved before putting it on the cabinet agenda, Rahul’s present stand has left not only the PM and the government embarrassed, but also his mother Congress president Sonia Gandhi, as she had been consulted on the matter and approved it at the core group meeting.

Chidambaram and Sibal, even had a word with her again on Thursday evening before going to Rashtrapati Bhavan to meet president  Pranab Mukherjee, so it was not an uninformed decision as faas the government is concerned .

Yes the tunes were different at Rashtrapati Bhavan as  the president, after meeting the BJP delegation, had asked the ministers to explain why they were in such a hurry, when there was no political consensus and when a bill with exact provisions was under the consideration of a parliamentary standing committee.

It seems this argument and position took the air out of "young think tank" around Rahul, already traumatised with the rising graph of Modi in the meetings and rallies, and here the party insider says, Rahul felt taking a moral ground, though belated, that would sway the youth in the party’s favour.

The watcher on the sidelines confirms the view, “This is part of a strategy he chalked out with the party general secretaries on how the party should distance itself from the government’s controversial decisions impacting its poll prospects,” and to be prominently presented as Rahul Gandhi’s personal move, and they hoped it will take the sting out of BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi's advancements so far.

The neat planning was done at Rahul’s Tuglaq Lane office-cum-residence on Thursday and execution countdown for opposing the ordinance started, with the ground tasting done by Young  brigade's  member Milind  Deora's tweet.

Next morning, Rahul met his backroom boys (K Mohan Gopal, KB Biju , K Raju, Sachin Rao, and others), when the  strategy was fixed that Rahul would oppose the ordinance, and the decision was put on action by calling chief spokesman Ajay Maken, who was addressing the press, instantly to fix his sudden appearance at the press meeting to dramatise it.

(like many times done in some emergency or serious war like situation , when head of the nation, addresses the nation, all of a sudden).

What happened next is history, but it put a big question mark , was the execution done correctly? Will not someone  within the crowd will spin the yarn ?

More questions will be raised than answered, why you have to demolish the credibility of one decade old your own government led by the loyal and honest Manmohan Singh and the decision of "core group", that is controlled by none other than UP chairperson Sonia Gandhi ?

Is there serious difference between the party led by Madam and Rahul or the government led by faithful Manmohan Singh  ?

Or does, the arrogance and frustration in Rahul's voice and the abusive and undiplomatic language used, knowing well that her mother Sonia Gandhi has consented on this ordinance, smells of serious struggle and demand for absolute autonomy by Rahul not from PM., but from Congress President Sonia Gandhi ?

So it is complete autonomy call, if it is so ? Is the timing and methodology used is appropriate ?

Yes, aINDIA HONEST said, are not there more questions, that will need to be answered now ?

Chidambaram Assured People of Bright Tomorrow After Next Election

Indian Finance Minister Mr. P Chidambaram claimed today that India continued to be the second fastest growing economy in the world after China. He assured people should not be worried about the current slow down and expressed hope of achieving six per cent growth this fiscal as he observed that even China's growth which was at ten per cent has come down to seven per cent now, while our growth has slid to five per cent from nine per cent.

He said,"Economic slowdown is there in all the countries. When there is slow growth rate in the world, India cannot remain unaffected,". He added that even European countries had been affected by the economic slow down and many countries including Mexico, Brazil were behind India, but expressed hope that the country's growth would touch six per cent this year and hoped for bright tomorrow, and asked not worry about the slow down.

This resembles the idea of seeing the most dismal situation in positive frame of mind, that is seeing the half glass of milk as half filled not as half empty. The country which has started its growth history very late and was reasonably hopeful of achieving growth in double digit for another several decades to reach nearer to the developed many with the big criteria of "inclusive growth to a sizable mass of society". But it is sad story of half empty and this empty part belongs to the vast majority of common population and those are the most deprived billion of Indian population. To add  salt on their woes, goes on the shameless drama of musical chairs where the politicians and economists together calling shots by offering meals at Rs.5 or at Rs. 12 or at Rs.28 to 33 a day to survive with dignity or to save themselves from being called cruelly BPL family, all this  65 years after independence.
