Ask Rahul ; Can RTI Stop the Rampant Corruption at Highest Level ?

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi and his team intended to start talking about how infrastructure growth during UPA rule has benefited the common man. The key ministries were recently asked to detail the initiatives and achievements rather than just placing facts and figures so that the details become more communicative to voters. Rahul reportedly took a long meeting on the achievements and plans of road transport and highways sector on Friday evening where besides minister Oscar Fernandez, top ministry officials were present.

These developments of collecting  details and trends  by the Congress leader and his core team could be reflected in his future public addresses. Some ministries have been asked to provide supplementary information after presentations were forwarded to his office. For example, the highways ministry was asked to provide an updated note on highway and expressway development in China.

**INDIA HONEST regrets if these initiatives would have been taken five or seven years earlier then India would have been half  like China, if not similar  to China,  at least.

The ministry has also highlighted the recently launched cashless scheme for road accident victims, which it claimed as an initiative for social and economic benefit to common man.

**INDIA HONEST  appreciates it, it w s most needed steps to help the distressed victims. But should not one will ask ,why the Congress Yuvraj waiting for so many years to offer this most humanitarian aid and the right to people.

Most of the people's and media's comments in the election time fever are turning out to be tough to angry on this UPA  2. Many are even blunt," Indians must hang our heads in shame for electing the corrupt UPA for the second term and at least now the people shall not do the mistake of voting dynastic UPA to power. Many real issues like how to overcome burden on petroleum imports, reduce freebies for political class etc.. are not getting enough attention and the total policy paralysis and misgoverning for the past 10 years have ruined our democracy".

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi had justified his outburst against the ordinance on convicted lawmakers by saying he was just being "honest". Denying that the timing of his move was wrong, Rahul said "truth cannot be truth of it is delivered with planning and deliberation over the prevailing mood".

INDIA  HONEST reminds of the "visionary mistakes" of past creators of Congress, when they wrote the dynastic presidential constitution for Congress, they ignored the need of polity of politeness in politics, replaced that with the arrogance.

Speaking on the occasion of Valmiki Jayanti , Rahul launched an attack on the BJP's 'India Shining' campaign of 2004 and then confused the gathering by making a sudden admission about widespread corruption in the governance system and citing the RTI Act as a panacea to arm the masses to fight corruption.

Rahul said, "They (BJP) scream corruption. The corruption that was happening behind closed doors is now out in the open because our government introduced the RTI Act," . His assertion that corruption was rampant comes at a time when the Congress-led UPA is sagging under the weight of scams.

**INDIA HONEST have no answer for the  allegation, people  are no fool, they will reply  at right time, like the court has done with the close ally Lalu Prasad.

**IH asks Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi can RTI act rectify or stop the corruption rampant at the  highest level like 2G,  CWG, Coalgte..........., which even Supreme Court failed to do so till now ?

Rahul Gandhi sets eyes on wooing Dalits in next election

Gandhi said that he often visited Uttar Pradesh and found in 99% of the schools that upper caste students sat in the front rows while Dalit students were pushed to the back of the class. The situation is the same in the rest of the country since no political party has groomed Dalit leaders, he said. "When people talk of Dalit leadership, I don't see anyone. I want to build Dalit leadership at all levels - zila, block, assembly. I want such a leadership that to fill one post I should get 100 candidates so that I get more choice."

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi has set her eyes on wooing the Dalits in the next election, as he accepted that  no political party, including Congress, has worked towards grooming Dalit leaders. He  even attacked the only known face of Dalit leader and BSP chief Mayawati for this lapse and promised to field more candidates from this community.

Addressing a meet - 'National Dialogue on Social Disparities' - organised by the National Commission for Scheduled Castes, the Congress scion Rahul Gandhi, who has been making concerted efforts to make a dent in the BSP's support base among the Dalits, added, "I want that there should be a queue of Dalit leaders at all levels, in UP, Delhi, at block levels, in villages...."

Gandhi said the problem is related to ticket distribution,  and promised to make it more representative, as he wanted the Dalits to be backbone of Congress party  in future and promised that he would stand by them to ensure their progress irrespective of the amount of time it takes and assured to field more candidates from the community.
