India conducted a second test flight of its indigenous developed nuclear- capable 'Agni-V' 5000 km long-range ballistic missile from the Wheeler Island off Odisha coast. The three stage, solid propellant missile was test-fired from a mobile launcher from the launch complex of the Integrated Test Range. The indigenous developed missile Agni-V is 17 meter long and 2 metres wide with launch weight of around 50 tonnes.The indigenous built Agni series missiles is the most advanced version having some most advanced technologies incorporated in terms of navigation and guidance, warhead and engine. Many new technologies developed indigenous were successfully tested earlier like the redundant navigation systems, very high accuracy Ring Laser Gyro based Inertial Navigation System and the most modern and accurate Micro Navigation System had ensured the missile reach the target point within few meters of accuracy, equal to the best in world.
In a case of serious negligence in medical treatment by Government doctors 114 children were hospitalised in Hooghly district, after they were mistakenly given Hepatitis B vaccine orally instead of pulse polio drops. It was a pulse polio day, so most parents had taken their children to the polio booth at the Khatul village under Arambagh in West Bengal. One of the parents noticed that the health officials were giving "Hepatitis B vaccine" orally instead of polio drops and immediately informed the matter to the health workers and the villagers.But the goof up was already committed, as by then 114 children had already been given the Hepatitis B vaccine orally, most of them had taken ill. Angry villagers triggered protests and locked the negligent doctors, but the damage was already done on innocent children.
Indian origin American doctors and physicians have a privileged proud position in US,as though the Indian-Americans constitute less than one per cent of America's population, but they account for nine per cent of the country's doctors and physicians.The renowned Forbes magazine had mentioned recently : "The over representation of Indians in these fields like,engineering, IT and medicine are striking in practical terms, one out of seven doctors is likely to be of Indian Heritage," . And this symposium on health care at the Capitol Hill will be stage for the penal discussion and approach to the Congress seeking a say in the immigration reform, as they said the country was facing shortage of doctors with present mechanism.
Here a humble submission, why no advancement has been made in our political set up. The political leadership which govern the nations are the administrator of different activities for smooth and better working of the nation. As each worker in a business, agriculture, factory, bank, hospital, defence, education or research or any other important functions conducted within the boundary of the nations employ only qualified, educated and trained persons.
But to control the activities of these persons, as the organiser or the administrator or the motivator or as the manager, are the political leaders who are employed as MLA, MP or Minister and but such persons does not need to fulfil any criteria as regards education,qualification, training or test. Thus because of this we are suffering many such type of goof ups ,because the leaders neither have good management education or training nor they have binding accountability. And for this the people has to pay heavy price.
