Woman assaults by high celebrities increasing as three cases were reported from the poll bound state of Rajasthan and another by a Moulvi of a madarssa from Karnataka.
Bapu Lal Nagar, a Congress minister in the Gehlot government in Rajasthan, has been accused of rape by a 27-year-old woman. The Jaipur-based woman says Mr Nagar, the Minister for Dairy and Rural Industries, called her to his house on September 11, confined her to a room, beat her up, and then raped her.
Another Rajasthan Congress MLA Udai Lal Anjana booked for rape in September at Jaipur for more embarrassment to ruling Congress in poll-bound Rajasthan, a party MLA from the state was today booked for sexual assault just two days after a minister was forced to resign over allegations of rape. He was booked for allegedly sexually exploiting the woman on the pretext of marriage. The case was registered against the MLA in Mundwa following an order by a local court in Nagaur under section 376, 313 , 370, 384 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code.
A teenager girl , had accused the god man Asaram Bapu on August 15 of molesting at his ashram in Jodhpur, and threatening to kill her and her parents if she reported him.The guru had allegedly told the girl's parents that he would exorcise her of evil spirits. The religious preacher has denied the allegations of sexual assault and told the police he met the girl and her family as part of a large gathering that came for his 'satsang' or discourse on August 15. Asaram Bapu's judicial custody has been extended till October 1, while his lawyer Ram Jethmalani reportedly alleged today that the 16-year-old girl is mentally unstable.
Mangalore, a town in the state of Karnataka, reported that a Muslim madarassa head has been held for raping a minor.The Manglore Police on Aug 26, 2013, arrested the 30-year-old headmaster of a madarassa, Abdul Khader Yamani, on charges of sexually assaulting a seven-year-old girl Yamani, who is attached to Boliyar Jumma Masjid. Police commissioner Manish Kharbikar said the family informed after the girl, a Class II student, complained to her mother about the harassment. According to the complaint, the girl was sexually assaulted three to four days ago.The girl attended the madrassa from 6.30am to 8.30am every day was sent for medical examination and a case was registered at Konaje police station.
