Should Not BJP PM Candidate Modi Start Selling Indian growth Prospects Stories ?

Should not BJP PM candidate Modi start selling Indian growth prospects stories to woo foreign investors that will reflect his confidence on 2014 ?

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Monday addressing the 2013 Global meeting of emerging markets forum sold his Gujarat model of development. He said, "Growth rate is maximum in Gujarat but things are changing in other states also and we must accept this. We have always believed in mantra of Gujarat's growth for India's growth."

Stating that Gujarat has moved from a trading to knowledge driven society in 10 years, he said, "We have created many jobs, allowed healthy business environment due to which there is investment and job creation."

Narendra Modi said the people pf Gujarat have always believed in mantra of Gujarat's growth for India's growth. He added, "Gujarat setting up smart cities driven by technology and e-governance."

BJP PM candidate Narendra Modi, though did not miss the opportunity to show case failures of Congress government at Delhi, when he said indirectly hitting out at the Congress saying the government cannot operate from secret files (coal files). He added, "The government has to move away from representation to participation."

On effective running of the government, the BJP prime ministerial candidate said, "People's own government in the democracy is the best possible system. For any government interest of the people has to be paramount." He added there is no alternative to good governance. "Good governance starts from good intentions. Lack of good governance is like diabetes which affects each and every part of the body," .

As BJP's PM candidate Narendra Modi must watch the present status of the economy, which is going from bad to worst in spite of all assurance by PM Manmohan Singh , finance minister P. Chidambaram and RBI Governor or even the Commerce minister.

The latest report on the index of industrial production (IIP) numbers for August confirms the assessment that there are few, if any, signs of recovery in the industrial sector. The year-on-year growth is mere 0.6 per cent, significantly below assured or consensus expectations. The April-August period is almost flat or may be in sliding slope to negative with a chart of measly 0.1 per cent.

With manufacturing sector, that accounts for 80% of IIP , has declined slightly in August and was flat for the April-August period. As almost six months of the year has gone negative, the signs do not auger any hope for big economic growth in the second half , while the projections by Finance Minister, of anything over five per cent for the year becoming critically doubtful, and here Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi must switch his role to as BJP's PM candidate, when 2014 is not far away.

History May Repeat in 2014, With Birth of Congress (Rahul/Sonia) and Congress (o)

History may repeat in 2014, with the birth of Congress (Rahul/Sonia) and Congress (o),that will remind of old past of Congress (I).

It was not a casual light remark by PM Manmohan Singh, when he said,"It is a bill, not an ordinance", as the UIDAI bill was cleared without any discussion. It struck the members of the Cabinet who had assembled to clear the bill to give the Unique Identification Authority of India legal standing.

Though it was the PM's tongue-in-cheek semi conscious remark that evoked more of  dissent ,astonishment, disgust than laugh. The hidden embarrassment over the way, the all powerful cabinet had to junk the ordinance on convicted lawmakers found an expression in the meeting of the Cabinet, the heart felt anguish, that was visible in PM's joke and that remained the topic of discussion even after the meeting had ended.

The ordinance to save convicted MPs was cleared by the Cabinet without any serious opposition, Rahul Gandhi later came out against it, calling it "complete nonsense" that was better torn up and thrown out, a veto that triggered a rush in the government to rescind the decision.

Yes PM's light remark did not bring wild laughter, but it could be because Rahul's public veto of the ordinance led to serious embarrassment for the senior Cabinet ministers who had cleared the decision. NCP chief Sharad Pawar correctly cautioned that not thinking through the decisions followed by volte face from the high ups has compromised the credibility of the government. So also many of the allies were dissatisfied with the whole episode.

There is theory most  appropriate  in the context of Congress, "Power without responsibility and accountability is what is ailing the Indian Polity". While party leaders have all the powers they are not at all accountable and they put the blame on the government and escape for their political decisions overriding the right advice of the thinking group of ministers, whose voice is never heard.

Rahul Gandhi assured on Wednesday said "a govt of the youth" will come to power in 2014 which will work for the poor and "change" the country, comments that triggered speculation whether he would take a leading role after the next polls.

But the million $ question is that, where this will lead to when the baton changeover will take place ? Can the novices of youth and association with Kalawatis, is sufficient to  handle the mammoth task of India management ?

Moreover how the  arrogance and non participation in vital acts will help in the making of  an cohesive functional team in future ? In a possible scenario after the 2014 results, if Congress fails to retain the power , a break among the rank and file is eminent.

Will PM Singh Take Rahul Blame Seriously and Resign on Moral Ground ?

Congress party vice president Rahul Gandhi rejects the Congress ordinance on disqualification of convicted MPs  and MLAs. He categorically said, this is complete nonsense and the ordinance should be torn up. He said specifically this is my personal opinion .

Rahul said,  "I know of the government argument on this subject and their position", but I am not concerned with that and confirmed this as his position."

This stated position by Rahul Gandhi raises serious questions within Congress and the ruling Government :

A) First  does it shows Congress VP Rahul differs with the government, led by Manmohan Singh and guided and controlled by UPA President Sonia Gandhi ?

B) Second why a prospective candidate of prime minister's post for Congress does not have a say on the working and policies of this UPA government ?

C) Why a person so important like Rahul is not taken on board on such crucial issue for the incoming elections, that also few months before the assembly election ?

D) Is Congress a divided house, where nobody agrees on important matters ?

E) Is this the usual style of working within the UPA government, where any body or every body taking such a crucial decision of "cancelling a live order of Supreme Court", by issuing a ordinance , which is usually done only on some special circumstances or emergency ?

F) Is it a last moment change of mind, seeing the mood of the people and noting their anger on this subject, and an after thought by which intending to create some brownie rewarding points for Rahul, even by discarding the consent and acceptance of Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh ?

G) Will the PM Manmohan Singh take the blame of VP Rahul seriously and resign on moral ground ?

H) How the PM will react to the comment : a)  throw the ordinance into dustbin b) saying it is complete nonsense c) the arguments given by the government of political consideration, are called by Rahul as compromising, and he must offer immediate resignation, having lost the faith of Congress party vice president ?

I) Or ultimately will some escape route will be taken out to save Manmohan Singh,

J) and Rahul Gandhi will go on lecturing to the public with a demand to bring Congress in next election, but saying  all without any accountability for the acts and functioning of the Government ?

K) Or will this ordinance create a Constitutional crisis of trust between the government and the party ?
