Indian Schools May Have New Lessons From Salman Khurshid ( 1)

Salman Khurshid was reacting to Modi's remarks that Singh had been insulted by Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif by purportedly comparing him with "dehati aurat" in the context of his voicing concern over cross border terrorism during his meeting with US President Barack Obama.Pakistani journalist of Geo TV tweeted this as said by PM sharif in lighter terms in the presence of NDTV editor Barkha Dutt, who first attributed the "dehati aurat" comment to Sharif, later denied that the Pakistani Prime Minister had used such a word.

BJP's prime minister immediately reacted to this Reactions to Sharif’s comments were more of disbelief to national outrage and the BJP PM candidate Narendra Modi on Sunday strongly objected,"How dare you (Sharif) address my nation's Prime Minister as a village woman? There cannot be a bigger insult of the Indian Prime Minister.......... We can fight with him on policies but this we will not tolerate......... its Prime Minister's insult,......even said: "The journalists who were sitting in front of Nawaz Sharif when he was insulting our Prime Minister should also answer to the people ....................who were having sweets sitting with Nawaz Sharif when he was abusing our Prime Minister calling him village woman, I expected .............them, to refuse the sweets and walk out," .

Now as our Foreign Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid have better expertise regarding foreign matters as he being a foreign minster, he is the better judge of the protocols used in foreign soil (specially in US where Modi is not visiting); the ethics and culture in US; the language and the meaning of words used there;the limits of India's national pride in private conversation between Pakistan PM ,Pakistani journalist Hamid Mir and Pakistan "hukumat" friendly Barkha Dutt of NDTV; he and he (Salman Khurshid) only should decide : was it  praise by Pakistani PM or an insult ?

Salman Khurshid's Lesson : Khurshid said there is nothing wrong in being a "dehati aurat" (village woman) and "Modi " is out of touch with ground realities. 

India Honest Learns :  as BJP's PM  aspirant Modi  is out of touch with ground realities, the meaning of the word "dehati aurat" means an intelligent person to be PM in his book .

Is Manmohan Singh Quitting ?

India's Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said, "I have always maintained that Rahul Gandhiji will be an ideal choice for the prime minister's position after the 2014 elections. I would be very happy to work for Congress party under the leadership of Rahulji."

Lot will be debated now, "Is this his personal view as he was found to be eager to relinquish his job as prime minister" or "it is the wish of the  high command, who has made up her mind to put Rahul (who has never learnt swimming) to try his luck, to navigate in the difficult English Channel (that may be equated to India's national leadership ) during the ongoing storm. 

It will raise certain question as regards the internal tussle with Congress President Madam Sonia Gandhi and the PM Singh himself, that was often rumoured, or he himself fed with barrage of corruption allegation made on him by the opposition as the head of government,which even portrayed him  as a thief. 

It sure hurts an honest man like him, at the fag end of his distinguished career, when trapped in the multi head leadership and coalition politics of  demanding allies, bargaining and quarrelling for their share of booty. This for sure made his work and life miserable. A devoted lover of Urdu shayari by taste and choice, was converted into dumb speaker by the circumstances in this UPA 2's  "Jugalbandi of non pious hearts". Thus this may be his conscious choice coming at least three years late.

With reference to much debated India Pakistan tension, relationship and peace talk PM Singh said, "For me to meet Nawaz, Islamabad has to act". He confirmed that he may not meet Pakistan prime minister Nawaz Sharif at the UN general assembly this month, as he isn't happy with the action that country has taken against the perpetrators of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.

At home in New Delhi, the Union Parliamentary Minister Kamal Nath said that the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is ready to face the Central Bureau of Investigation if necessary in the Coalgate at the end of Monsoon session of the parliament. As he accepted,"The Prime Minister is not above law and will have to present himself for questioning if the CBI summons him." 

Does the sequence of the news unfolding on the day suggests that UPA Chairperson has decided not to shield the  Prime Minister Manmohan Singh anymore and prepared to dump him in the preparation of election 2014 with Rahul leading this unscathed ?

Manmohan Singh had just completed his visit to G20 summit,which ended with a declaration that while countries will not prolong the exit of fiscal stimulus, it will be done in a calibrated way and clearly communicated in a bid to prevent volatility in currency markets. The prime minister said that the movement of labour should be free across nations without restrictions as it can otherwise stifle growth, while emphasising on skill development in emerging economies including India, so that its large youth population can benefit from growth.
