The mystery behind the missing coal blocks allocation files is growing day by day as CBI sources also confirm that the missing files as per their details have not been made available to them and those are very important for the probe into the coal blocks allocation scam.
There are several important companies involved whose files are missing, like Adhunik Corporation Ltd, Jharkhand Ispat, Rathi Steel and Power and Push Steel and Mining,Tata Iron & Sponge, as many of them are already charge sheeted in the FIRs filed by the CBI.
Rathi Steel and Power Ltd, owned by Pradeep Rathi , along with Daga, P N Varshney, Dwarka Das Lakhotia and Ranjit Khattar, as board members were charge sheeted in the FIR filed in June 2013 for alleged misrepresenting facts.
Jharkhand Ispat Ltd, Chairman RS Rungta and MD RC Rungta have been charged with the allegations of cheating and criminal conspiracy. An FIR filed in March 2013 against them with an allegation that they falsely claimed to own 80 acres of land but it found to be only 30 acres, as well their affidavit at the time of application that they had three steel plants but actually had only one.
In the Pushp Steel and Mining Ltd case an FIR was filed in April 2013 against the directors of company - Atul and Sanjay Jain with the allegation of misquoting their net worth at the time of application, for cheating and criminal conspiracy.
There is gross difference intentionally created about the number of files actually missing ; their contents; as well their identity with the accused concerned persons as the Coal Minister Shriprakash Jaiswal has told Parliament that seven files, 173 applications and nine documents related to coal blocks allocation are not traceable, while the CBI had asked for 43 files, 176 applications and 17 other documents to carry on with the investigations.
Is not it is part of the conspiracy : "not to clear the haze or confusion about the status of missing files till the Monsoon session of the Parliaments comes to an end that is by the second week of September 2013".
