Congress spokesperson P C Chacko has made a legitimate demand by suggesting that Akhilesh Yadav government has "no right" to continue. Congress drew a parallel between the 2002 post-Godhra riots in Gujarat and the Muzaffarnagar communal violence,which claimed 43 lives, injured scores of people, destroyed properties worth crores of rupees and left more than 50,000 people in relief camps," in UP.. He said that the Akhilesh Yadav government has "no right" to continue in office as it failed miserably to take preventive action. Congress, however, made it clear that it was not demanding imposition of President's rule in the SP-ruled state.
P C Chacko confirmed what Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Vice President Rahul Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had observed during their visit to riot areas and said, "It is almost like revisiting the Gujarat riots once again. At a time when the country is in need of communal harmony and religious tolerance, the state government has failed miserably to take preventive action".
INDIA HONEST wants to remind the Congress party and its spokesman P C Chacko, why a double standard by the centre and the party leaders, because Congress ruled Assam has faced much more worst violence recently, and in Assam violence many times more persons (including the minority Muslims) were killed and displaced in ethnic and communal riots. Yes there the Congress party failed to use "all time favourite opportunity of blaming BJP" for the riots.
You failed to ask CM Gogoi to resign or even blame him for his criminal failure in gauging the boiling mood of people in advance and taking necessary preventive steps. As Congress has equated 2002 post-Godhra riots in Gujarat and the Muzaffarnagar 2013 riot and should must add Assam and persuade justice in all the cases with equally strong hands, without discrimination.
The standard and moral of most political parties has gone down so low that they never think and work in the people's or even the bigger national interest, but indulge in nasty blame game for individual party politics. Benefit of party has over shadowed the national and larger people interest.
BJP spokesperson Nirmala Sitharaman accused that there is some kind of understanding between Congress and SP, that while on the same day the CBI closed the disproportionate assets ( six year old) case against SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav citing lack of evidence (?? if CBI does not have evidence, why they issued charge sheet at the first instance and waited for six years,this destroyed the credibility of CBI's investigation capabilities).
The most important tragedy of this UPA government is that it has converted the investigating agencies, as a tool to blackmail opposition parties to dance around the UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, and false cases are filed and withdrawn at the whims of Congress; as we have seen in numerous cases like corruption cases filed against BSP Chief Mayawati, SP Chief Mulayam Singh, YSR Congress Jagan Reddy, Madhu Kode...............and many more and subsequently withdrawn.
INDIA HONEST proposes why a PIL in Supreme Court should not be filed for knowing the alleged role of establishment in ordering investigation, filing wrong charge sheets and after a considerable long period of wait and bargain and subsequently as per the ordes of their political bosses diluting the cases and even withdrawing. Supreme Court should determine what is the rational or justification behind these acts of intentional blackmail or misdeeds for gaining favour ?
