Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office V Narayanasamy said ,"Nothing to hide on coal blocks".
INDIA HONEST wants to know if what the Congress minister is saying is true and does this include the coal allocation files already hidden ( or removed)? One must remember the old proverb "to hide one spoken untruth, you have to speak another 100 more untruth". So it better to come clean before long, or this suspense may cost them heavily in 2014, not because the PM is dishonest, but because he protected few culprits knowingly.
V Narayanasamy said,"The government had nothing to hide, and decisions on coal block allocations were taken on the basis of recommendations of state." and "it has been the stand of the government that allocations have been made to public sector undertakings and some private companies "on the recommendations of state governments where coal blocks were available".
Up to this point every thing is O.K., but when you go through the details , it is revealed that lot of lobbying was done in several doubtful cases of allocations, and internally in coal ministry few objections were raised. So it was the legal and moral duty of concerned minister to take informed decision, before signing the final allocation. One must remember, in the case of even public limited company, all the directors including the M.D. or chairman is accountable for any legal wrong, whether one knew it or not.
The CBI filed an FIR against former coal secretary P.C.Parakh and industrialist Kumar Mangalam Birla for alleged irregularities and criminal conspiracy in the allocation of the two blocks.
Parakh was surprised and he said, "he did not know why the CBI thought Birla and he were in a conspiracy, when the person who took the final decision was not part of it". He said,"If a conspiracy is there, everyone is part of the conspiracy. If we are accused, the PM is as much a part of the conspiracy," .
INDIA HONEST suggests the government is passing or rather killing crucial time by allowing the investigation in piece meal basis, so also the spokespersons are saving their skin by throwing one liners, which does not mean anything.
Or why V Narayanasamy is not clarifying the question: why prime minister is not liable ? What is the grounds on which he defends himself, if and when a wrong is done under his nose.
Don't take the excuse of matter being sub-judice. If you can say that you or not hiding , you must clarify what you know, it is matter of national importance for the confidence of investors and industrialists.Don't waste time.
The delay in resolving the case is more important for the nation, for the economy and for the plight of people, who are losing more due to this self inflicted recession on themselves..............and this has greater importance then the Supreme Courts desire and acts to find the truth of case to nab the culprit................court may wait for another five years to find the truth.............but the need and hunger of people can't. Supreme Court must take cognisance of this plea and act in the interest of nation.
