AA party chief Arvind Kejriwal today finalised his team of ministers that includes his trusted associate Manish Sisodia and five others but was embarrassed with open dissent from a newly-elected MLA over his being kept out of the government.
AICC general secretary Janardan Dwivedi expressed unease about the party's decision to extend outside support to the AAP government, saying the Congress should not have got involved in the government formation exercise.
While dissent in the Congress over extending support to AAP in government formation has taken a sharp turn, though Congress sources set at rest reports that moves were on to immediately withdraw the support.
Tensions have began in the Aam Aadmi Party soon after party leader Arvind Kejriwal announced the names of MLAs who would be part of the Delhi Council of Ministers. AAP MLA from Laxmi Nagar Vinod Kumar Binny met Kejriwal over not being given a berth in the ministry. A "former Congressman" representing Laxmi Nagar, Binny was tipped to be a part of the AAP Cabinet.
The task of forming ministry has fired the first bomb shell for the newly born and wedded to Congress AA party with deep divisions came to the fore as MLA Vinod Kumar Binny, a two time corporator in the Delhi Municipal Corporation with "Congress background", is sulking over his non-inclusion in the cabinet.Sisodia denied there was any dissent. He said picking up his team was the chief minister's prerogative.
An upset Binny walked out of a meeting with Kejriwal at his residence and told the media that he would address a press conference on Wednesday that could embarrass the party. The sources said efforts were on to pacify him in which leaders including Yogendra Yadav are said to be involved. Speculation is that he could be made the speaker whose role will be important in a fractious house.
Kejriwal, who is likely to be sworn in as chief minister on Thursday, sent to lieutenant governor Najeeb Jung a list of six ministers, including the names of Sisodia, Rakhi Birlaan,Somnath Bharti , Saurabh Bhardwaj, Girish Soni and Satendra Jain.
INDIA HONEST wish to suggest : all these are the most practical and essential bare facts of Indian politics, anyone and all have to go through with this and then move ahead, though AA party team has enough guts and enthusiasm, but still their arrogance in calling themselves as the only honest and best is the biggest stumble block in their smooth progress, and it has still long way to go before passing the important task of showing some visible results for people even in all the odd circumstances.
