The news media reported two news this evening, and IH feels ashamed to present in its exact form :Report one : Senior UPA ministers meet President Pranab Mukherjee to get Ordinance route allowed for Rahul Gandhi's pet bills ( though belated by nine years and ten months of Congress ruling).The anti-graft bills are being seen as the Congress's last-ditch efforts to reclaim the anti-corruption plank.
IH regards how shameless the UPA2 ministers have become to make mockery of the parliamentary democracy and the lost time in neglecting such crucial bill being implemented in India, helping kill the scams and their predators.
Report two : "Haryana governor Jagannath Pahadia administered oath of office and secrecy to Neelam Singh and Prof Rajesh Vaid as members of Haryana Public Service Commission at New Delhi on Saturday.
Neelam Singh, who hails from Bhiwani, is wife of Sandeep Singh, a Congress leader from Bhiwani, while Prof Vaid, belonged to Sirsa and was a Congress leader there."
Now HPSC has six members, and Manbir Singh Bhadana as its chairman. The other four members are Jagannath, Savita Tayal, Jai Singh Sangwan and Surender Sharma.
Savita Tayal, a retired college principal is the wife of chief minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda's former principal secretary, ML Tayal; Jagannath is a cousin of former union minister and Ambala MP, Kumari Selja; Sharma is an old associate of Hooda and comes from Kharkhauda assembly segment in Sonepat.
Though Harinder Pal Singh, the district Congress president of Palwal and also a close Hooda associate was also HPSC member, but he had to resign on November 14, 2013, after he was arrested in Palwal for being allegedly involved in an attempt-to-murder case.
Meanwhile, reacting over the members' appointment in Delhi in utmost haste the ruling Congress had already admitted its rout in the forthcoming polls, and therefore was making such hasty appointments.Even it could not wait for the governor to return to Chandigarh but instead went to Delhi on a holiday to get the members administered oath.
Meanwhile, the appointments are being seen as government's last minute efforts to accommodate more areas and caste groups in caste-sensitive Haryana and that too well before the model code of conduct comes into effect.
