On Feb 26, Rahul Gandhi has interacted with about 600 women in Jorhat when this woman Bonti,a Congress ward member, came from behind and kissed him on his cheek.This open kiss incident possibly resulted in an altercation with her husband and the woman was burnt.The police said the woman allegedly suffered 40% burn injuries during a fight with her husband.
Jorhat Superintendent of Police Amanjeet Kaur confirmed the death and said,"We are investigating it as a case of unnatural death. The reason could be a husband-wife feud because as per our investigation, their relationship was not so good," .The victim reportedly died of severe burn injuries and her husband too is in hospital with 40 per cent burns. The police have not said if it's murder or suicide.

These remote villages, where people are still conservative and a wife's sparked temptation to the charm of Rahul, resulted in possible killing or may be a suicide on shame, but for this incident Rahul will fear more such interaction arranged in haste, on the eve of election.
