Where Vinod Mehta gone Wrong in Saying, "Should we Give Narendra Modi a Chance ?"

The wise columnist Vinod Mehta visualised  Narendra Modi as the next PM. and wrote the article as : "I write this article with trepidation. It has huge potential for being misunderstood. Specifically, it is addressed to Narendra Modi’s detractors, among whom I count myself. Of course, I am not in the UR Ananthamurthy league. He said he “wouldn’t want to live in a country led by Modi”. I have more in common with Amartya Sen’s critique, “As an Indian citizen I don’t want Modi as my PM. He has not done enough to make the minorities feel safe.”

INDIA HONEST wished to understand what the columnist Mehta, one of the staunch supporter of Congress , want to express ? IH , no more a fan of Congress minus Indira Gandhi, disagrees with the columnist on, “As an Indian citizen I don’t want Modi as my PM. He has not done enough to make the minorities feel safe.”

Yes Mr. Mehta you are true in saying so, as you had correctly judged that when Indira Gandhi did enough to solace the hurt sentiments of Sikhs after the Swarn-Mandir destruction in operation Bluestar or what  Rajeev Gandhi did to nab the culprits of 1984 Kill Sikh riots, by examining the carnage with the comment "when a big tree falls...............".  According to the columnist even Rahul is justified to say that enough is done to give justice to the Sikh families, by managing / delaying the justice delivery in courts.

Why not, Mr. Mehta is 100% true as he made a correct comparison of the similar Muslim killings in Muzzfernagar riots, (by certifying "SP has not done enough to make the minorities feel safe.” ) Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi has visited the riot place met with victims while Akhilesh allowed regular death toll of children dying in  in freezing cold camps, while enjoying bolliwood dance in Saffai Mahotsav.

Even Mehta won't find any wrong in Rahul calling the riot victim Muslim youths as the ISI supporters. Yes, why Mehta should not be justified in his comments as the parameters of analysis does not remain same when you have "Modi" in front of you as culprit, it has changed with most of the political leaders, who find most benefited by dividing the two major communities by creating a Modi fear .

The columnist Vinod Mehta added further, " Still, reality hovers. As a journalist I have to read the writing on the wall. It says in capital letters: Narendra Modi will lead an NDA government on May 16. The permutations and combinations of how this is achieved need not detain us. It will take divine intervention to stop him being crowned."

INDIA HONEST justifies the journalist Vinod Mehta verdict that "Narendra Modi will lead an NDA government on May 16, " but warns him as well the others who are still waiting to declare that "Should we give Narendra Modi a chance?"

After tolerating the destruction of economy and trust of Indian people by this UPA 1&2, those columnists and media watchers have added responsibility to announce that " Narendra Modi "MUST" ( no more should be ) be asked to take the charge as Prime Minister,  in the vital national interest only .
