Madhya Pradesh Congress Leader of Opposition Satyadev Katare today said the Congress state unit has requested party high command to nominate senior leader Digvijay Singh for Lok Sabha polls from Vidisha seat.He said,"Both I and Madhya Pradesh Congress president Arun Yadav agree that Singh must contest from Vidisha and we have sent a proposal about this to the party high command," .
Katare said the Congress can benefit to a great extent if Singh is made the party's choice from Vidisha, to oppose the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Sushma Swaraj is the sitting MP from Vidisha seat.He added,"If Digvijay Singh is announced as the Congress candidate from Vidisha, both Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Swaraj would be concentrating there rather than at other state constituencies".
Digvijaya Singh had been getting unfair treatment at the hands of party men and specially a much younger Jyotiraditya Scindia.Few months back, the Scindia faction organised a rally in Morena where Digvijaya Singh was kept waiting and sweating profusely on the dais, for more than two hours by the Union minister of state.
On another day the Congress finally signalled closer of its doors on AICC general secretary Digvijaya Singh, even denying him entry into the state PCC conference hall for the press conference called by Union minister of state Jyotiraditya Scindia and Mohan Prakash, Sanjay Nirupam, Kantilal Bhuria,Ajay Singh.
Digvijaya Singh and his supporters stood outside, banging the doors for nearly 20 minutes, making desperate calls from their mobile phones asking Congress workers inside to open the door. The banging on the door continued, but Scindia refused to buzz and asked Congress workers not to let in whoever was knocking. Senior Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam also instructed not to allow him. Yes, Scindia said to press there was no factional rivalry within the party, echoing the high commands view on Digvijaya Singh .
Even highly desperate Dig sir tried to gain entry through the back door, that was also jammed and then the miffed Dig sir turned to the elevator but that was also shut on second floor. An infuriated and irate Dig sir and his supporters walked out of the state Congress office. Feeling hurt and humiliated, he climbed into his SUV and left the Congress office with his supporters following in a cavalcade.
INDIA HONEST will be highly surprised, when most of the stalwarts of Congress including Manish, Chidmambaram etc. etc are running away, what the shouting mouthpiece of Rahul Gandhi, Digi sir will do to escape from the expected defeat and humiliation from the hands of BJP's Sushma Swaraj, even when he is pushed to the battle field by his own party leaders ?
Humiliated time and again by the Congress party and their leaders, what the frustrated Dig sir will do now ? Will Digi sir join hands now with his bete noire BJP ?
