Aam Aadmi Party , failed to gain ground despite trying its best to fix a caste combination in Ferozepur constituency in Punjab , that has 15.18 lakh voters consisting of Hindus 32% , Jat Sikhs 26 %, Rai Sikh 16 % and Kamboj 16 %. As SAD-BJP candidate Sher Singh Ghubaya has been banking on the Rai Sikh voters, Congress’ Sunil Jakhar is targeting Hindus, the new entrant, AAP fielded a member of the Kamboj community — Satnam Pal Kamboj to corner Kamboj voters.
For this the AAP leadership has no choice but to accept an unknown and insignificant political material, Satnam Pal Kamboj,an advocate by profession and a former BSP leader, and who had fought the 2012 Assembly elections as an Independent at Guru Har Sahai but managed to get "only 88 votes".
A grand candidate of AAP, who got 88 votes in 2012 election was the ultimate and only choice available for the party leadership to fill the quota of fighting on 400 seats in this MP election.
As reported in media the AAP candidate Satnam's troubles began as soon as he was handed the AAP ticket. There was huge resentment when he was announced as the candidate, the district coordinator from Fazilka, Chand Soni, "left the party and joined the Congress". It also prompted a high-level meeting at Jalalabad which was attended by AAP members from New Delhi.
But the target filling approach of AAP reflected on his campaign, he also failed to reach out to voters, particularly in the border areas. People in the border villages are unaware about the existence of AAP and city residents say that Kamboj has not even come once seeking votes.
In spite of a large percentage of the voters also from the Kamboj community but the reluctant AAP candidate has neither made efforts to get their votes nor people have ever seen him campaigning even in main urban areas of Ferozepur.
INDIA HONEST could not understand, why Kajriwal has decided to eat such an huge quantity, which he cannot even chew ? Thus he has created a mockery of Indian democracy as well of the parliamentary election system .
It may ultimately result in the next few years that people will loose trust and even may start undermining the efforts of any crusader against corruption or other evils. Even people will start taking saint like the Anna Hazare much lightly, because as they have seen that how an associate of him in his fight against corruption has changed the colours so fast in his greed to get political mileage .
