INDIA HONEST admits that both Amartya Sen,the Nobel laureate and Jagdish Bhagwati,who has not won a Nobel, are at loggerheads on their ideological support to different political groups. Though both are considered as the greatest economists ,but are known for their sharp ideological differences, even some one counting them competing in the differing more for separate political leaders than the ideology.
Nobel laureate Amartya Sen will cast his rare vote in Bolpur today for the first time after the 2001 West Bengal assembly polls. The issue for him is secularism and he was vocal on that only, leaving behind his Noble subject Economics.
He exposed his political preferences and said, “There is the issue of secularism. It is true that one judge cleared Modi, but many charges were not pressed. If minorities are scared of him assuming office, there are reasons behind it, though many well-placed Muslims don’t think so. In fact, some of them have joined him.”
In July 2013, Sen had come out against Modi, saying he didn’t want him to become PM as he didn’t have secular credentials. “As an Indian citizen, I don’t want Modi as my PM... He has not done enough to make minorities feel safe,” Sen had said. “He could have been more secular and he could have made the minority community feel more secure.”
INDIA HONEST could not digest Sen's logic, what he is suggesting ? If the secularism is more safe in non Modi states, even after what one have seen in the latest instance of Muzffernagar in UP. Why a non Modi CM. Akhilesh could not save hundreds of innocent citizens, both Hindus and Muslims, from getting butchered for weeks together.
What was the problem, when both the police and military command was in the hand of Samajwadi party and Congress combined ? Why thousands of Muslims has to suffer in cold camps for months , even many children died , many minority girls raped , while living in unsafe camps ?
Was it not due to criminal thought policy of the so called secular parties, who wants to create artificial fear among the minorities for the alleged communal party to corner them in their favour as their savours ?
Mr Amartya Sen, please note that while sitting in US and consulting your favourite Congress leaders at Delhi, you cannot even imagine the bare facts, why the minorities are butchered by these so called minority friendly parties how they use the minorities as a tool as a commodity to fulfil their vote bank politics.
INDIA HONEST suggests please leave aside for few moments the riot and the suffering of minorities, just study the Eco-social conditions of Muslims and few of the Dalits in any of the small town or city. Look, there the minority people are living in most inhuman conditions : no hygiene, no health centres, no facility for primary education for girls, even at few places people living in small dingies like in Nazi Ghettos Camps .
Do Sen guarantees that the minorities in non Modi places are safe, healthy and engaged in well paid employment ? If Mr Sen does not have the real time information, he must stop making political interference in India, while sitting in US and exhibiting his one time certificate of excellence the Noble prize in Economics.
INDIA HONEST felt ashamed on how deplorable it is to find that even a Nobel laureate has indulged in spreading hate among people of India in the name of so called disguised secularism , only just for the sake of opposing another competing economist Jagdish Bhagwati, a Modi favourite, from gaining importance .
