Why not Supriyo and Ahuliwalia along with Amit and Mukul should Attend Modi's Swearing-in as Team Bengal ?

Chief minister Mama ta Banerjee will not attend Narendra Modi's swearing-in on May 26,but has ensured that TMC second-in-command and national secretary Mukul Roy , and finance minister Amit Mitra will be present at Rashtrapati Bhavan when Modi takes oath as the Prime Minister.

Though Didi's silence on Trinamool's participation had fuelled speculation that her party might follow CPM in boycotting the event, but better sense prevailed as she sensed it would be impossible to ignore a strong government at the Centre, even may be of Modi led BJP and keep her cash-strapped government running for the next few years.

Mamata sensed the public mood and sent out the right signals to the new government at the Centre. Although she has her political compulsions to keep the minorities in Bengal secure and happy, as chief minister she can’t ignore Bengal’s dire need for financial support from the Centre. Even Trinamool, with 34 MPs, is trying to get a share of the Opposition pie in the form of the deputy Speaker of Lok Sabha.

Alike Modi, Mamata was forced to draw a distinction between the pre-poll and post-poll scenario when a state government has to engage with the Centre and correctly decided to bury the hatchet without compromising on her stand on “communalism” and at the same time kept a channel of communication open with the Modi government.

Mamata judged public mood and sent out the right signals to the new government at the Centre, sidelining her political compulsions to keep the minorities in Bengal secure and happy.

INDIA HONEST has a humble submission that time has come when all the parties should make an amendment to their style of working, by switching to "grab power for effectively working for the welfare of all class of people for five years" instead of "planning and indulging in acts and policies only to remain in power or win the next election".

IH  feels, Mamata Banerjee has understood clearly that as chief minister she can’t ignore Bengal’s dire need for financial support from the Centre. Moreover it will be a golden idea if TMC  work in the joint way in cooperation of the BJP  members namely S.S.Ahuliwalia and Babul Supriyo, who may also become ministers, to activate a joint efforts on a Bengal joint team basis for more financial and other resources and new projects.

Ensuring the benefits for Bangla people is much more important and urgent than taking the credit for that, who or which party did what for the state, once the election is over . Prudent politics says, work for the state is much more important than targeting the future prospect in next elections by the political parties, and hence all must work in joint way for Bengal .
