The grand success in the Loksabha election and subsequent introduction of visionary and matured entry as PM of India by Narendra Modi has put Congress in a bind on as how to deal with Narendra Modi .
It is open fact now that as on date or even in the last two decades Congress has failed to bring any charmastic people's leader to Indian politics, while most of the top Congress leaders were hell bent on criticising Modi through out during and before the election.
From "Mout Ka Soudagar" to Feku to "Chaiwala" or "Neech Rajniti" were few of the derogatory adjectives the Congress leaders have used to announce Narendra Modi, so now it has become difficult or even intolerable if someone among them, all of sudden starts praising Modi's noble acts, thoughts or ideas and style of working .
Congress has sought to distance itself from spokesperson Shashi Tharoor's perceived appreciation of PM Narendra Modi. Tharoor had said that Modi seemed conciliatory and inclusive in both his pronouncements and actions. Tharoor had in his blog in Huffington Post said , "It would be churlish not to acknowledge Modi 2.0's inclusive outreach and to welcome his more conciliatory statements and actions."
Congressman Mani Shankar Aiyar, whose Chaiwala adjective for Namo had backfired on Congress, has advised his fellow Congressman Shashi Tharoor to "not use sycophant phrases like the ones he used Modi 2, Modi 1, Modi 3," ripping into his colleague for his headline-grabbing praise for India's new Prime Minister.
He accused Mr Tharoor of immaturity and said,"I am neither angry nor offended. (I am) deeply disappointed that an intelligent man like Tharoor should come to such judgements. It demonstrates immaturity that according to Tharoor, we should stop being churlish," .
While Mr Tharoor said that his party has understood what he was trying to say pointing to the fact that he "had not been fired yet and was still the spokesman" - the Congress made clear that these were his personal views.
INDIA HONEST laughs at the high level of jealousy and arrogance among the top Congress leadership, who cannot digest any Congressman start even genuinely respecting nice acts of their national prime minister when if that is a person named "Namo", whose past is related by them to as a "Chaiwala" .
What Tharoor had said is that "he has not heard intolerant language nor the language used in the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections after Modi was sworn-in as the Prime Minister. He described the Prime Minster as "Modi 2.0" which he said has replaced "Modi 1.0"."
But how the Congressman, who are habituated to praise only Rahul or Priyanka can accept this, so Congress veteran Mani Shankar Aiyar termed his own party leader Tharoor's comments as "immature" and "chameleon like".
Moreover in the article under the heading "How Narendra Modi may have evolved into Modi 2.0", Tharoor has emphasised that "to almost everyone's surprise, Modi and the BJP have eschewed the hubris and triumphalism they might have been assumed to have earned with their sweeping victory".
INDIA HONEST wish to advice the Congress high command to keep cool and start making habit of behaving like a constructive opposition party, as the period of five years in opposition is a long time for most of the power hungry Congress leaders, specially for the young Rahul.
Congress Shahjada Rahul Gandhi had entered and seen his entire days in politics only when the Congress was in power, but now it will be much much difficult mentally and politically to see others in power, importantly when their bete noire Namo is in power and presenting his best and unique services for the nation, a complete different story, far away from the dismal memory of UPA2.
