Chameleon Twist : A Pariah for long, Narendra Modi is the Latest Style Icon for US Media .

Propelled to power in the back of stunning electoral fortunes, Modi is expected to visit the US, possibly in September, who was once denied US visa. The US media, some of which was once fiercely critical of Modi, has hailed the Indian Prime Minister as a "fashion icon".It is now fashionable to praise the man who was a pariah not too long ago. But then, Narendra Modi is in fashion these days and not just politically speaking.

It is now fashionable to praise the man who was a pariah not too long ago. But then, Narendra Modi is in fashion these days and not just politically speaking. From his "trademark Modi kurta", a customised short-sleeved version of the traditional men's wear, to his Bvlgari shades and Movado watch, the Prime Minister's fashion essentials have made their mark with at least three prestigious American publications.

The New York Times, in an article titled 'A Leader Who Is What He Wears' said that "even by the standards of a world that has seen blogs devoted to (First Lady) Michelle Obama's dress sense, the pre-election makeovers of Francois Hollande and Dilma Rousseff, and the canonisation of Nelson Mandela's shirts, the image-craft of India's new Prime Minister, Narendra Modi  and its fashion fallout  has been something of a case study."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi gestures during his arrival at the Prime Minister's Office at South Block in New Delhi. As if on cue, the Time, New York Times and the Washington Post have tried to "decode India's new leader" ahead of his September summit with President Barack Obama.

Time wrote while suggesting "with his shortened tunic, or Modi kurta, Narendra Modi is becoming as celebrated for his style sense as he is notorious for his controversial political past " and added,"India's new Prime Minister is the country's latest fashion icon,".

The Washington Post pushed others and said, "Move aside, Michelle Obama. The world has a new fashion icon.  And no, it's not Vladimir Putin, despite his fitness regimen – it's India's new Prime Minister Narendra Modi , while probing on "what Narendra Modi's fashion says about his politics,".

INDIA HONEST summarises it, more like a situation when an 24 carat gold crown put to the true head, after it's passing through the baptism by fire of electoral success in the vibrant and biggest democracy of more then 55 crores Indian voters.Any way in international relations, things move differently with the change in circumstances, but it is proved that Namo won the first bout with hands down.
